I gave this sub to my brother. His only Rolex. Been with him through the thick and thin. His only Rolex and by far the absolute best gift I have ever given to anyone.

I just got my first Rolex, a DJ41, about a month ago to celebrate a personal achievement. Love the watch.

BUT - I’m going to get myself a “Bluesy” one day and I don’t know how long I’m going to wait... :)

For now just the 116500LN White dial! Not for long though, am considering the 116610LV but will most likely end up with an Explorer

I had one Rolex once , then bought another & then another & so on . I just knew I wanted certain references in my collection & have flipped a few along the way . Often thought how nice it would be to be happy with one

Exactly the same as me... One Rolex, 116610LN. It’s absolutely awesome!

To the OP’s question: I also own a vintage 1975 Omega Geneve that I inherited from my Grandad several years ago which I’ve since had fully overhauled, but only goes on the wrist once or twice a year.

Two Rolex, Sub16800, and a DJ36.

I rarely wear the Sub, it is just not that comfortable. The DJ36 is more comfy for everyday wear, but a Baume&Mercier Capeland with a replacement strap is my most comfortable watch. I could let the Sub go and not really miss it. I've got a few watches, but I'm not really a collector. Most were gifts. The Sub I bought new from an AD

On the contrary the Sub is very comfortable for me. I got it 24/7 and I even sleep with it because I like to see the time of night. For me it has the perfect mix between a watch that feels but does not bother. I do not like extra-thin lightweight watches and although I like mosntruos they are not for everyday, the Sub is just perfect to me

I own 3 Rolex watches but only wore one daily for more than two years. It was my BLNR. I have always been an Omega fan and I recently bought a Planet Ocean which I’ve been wearing for a month. If I was forced to choose, the one and only would be the BLNR.

Glad to see you are still holding on to the PO LM LE. One of the best omegas out there IMO.

I'm also enjoying the diversity that different brands bring

I have other watches. An Omega, a TAG Heuer, two Tudors, a Breitling, and a Hamilton. But only one Rolex.

I am considering a second Rolex, though, my purchase for this year. Giving real thought to a 16570.

I do own one and only. Everyday, anywhere I’m using it. But to be honest, it’s me and my personality that have no interest in collecting basically anything.

I picked the submariner, couldn’t be happier.

Right now I have 0 Rolexes after a burglary - but at least one of my wife’s was recovered and is now having an RSC full restoral.

There is some simplicity and elegance in having one Rolex.

Back in 2000, I was a first-time Rolex owner. A Polar Expl. II was my only Rolex for almost 10 years. A constant companion on my wrist in all endeavors both mundane and strenuous.

Flipped it (plus some cash) for my next Rolex, a 116520 white dial. The value in trade was more than I paid for it. The Daytona was my only Rolex for a couple of more years (until I found TRF) and then began a flipping, buying, selling spree that recently ended with the aforementioned burglary.

I got the 116520 just as the marketplace couldn’t get enough of the white dialed version. During my next deal, I was able to get more than I had in it - so was very fortunate twice. Right place, right time.

When everything settles down, I will get another Rolex and start the cycle over again. On the list for a 116500, but might not wait for it. Looking vintage while we go through the current market peak in preowned professional models.

I have often considered going down to one watch, but at the moment I'm still enjoying owning, wearing, and flipping. I'm currently trying to build my 'perfect' collection but I suspect that once I have it and have lived with it for a while, I will go down to a single good watch, and a beater for when the good watch is in for service. But who knows...
