Matte dial 666 no question about it. The only problem is that there's a very small price difference between a matte 666 and a great white 1665. If I had to chose between the Kermit and the gloss dial sea dwellers I would probably go with Kermit and swap the green insert for a black one.

Tough one alright....but in terms of longevity, the LV gets it by a whisker!

I prefer the SD over the Sub, no matter the generation.

It really depends on the condition of the triple six. If the triple six is unpolished or polished but very well done (chamfers present, fat case lugs and crown guards, nice brushing on lugs) and great patina with matching dial and hands plus a not too stretched bracelet and no gap with the endlink I would go triple six. But I guess finding one in this condition is near impossible. Then a nice and unpolished 16610LV.

A resurrected thread.
Nice pix G. Fortunate to have a 16600 (Z) and a 11610LV (M). LV for the anniversary. SD for the engineering. What was your decision?

LV, and never let it go. Triple six is thicker too I believe, being an SD.
If bored, you could easily swap out the green insert for a black one, or hunt down a blue insert with gold fonts, faded to silver from an old 16613/16618. It'd look amazing. |
