I have had both. Sub was my first Rolex and liked it a lot many years. I thought I would never sell it. However, when I got the GMT coke, the sub became boring instantly because of the superior bezel and colors of the GMT. I sold the sub. Then I wanted to try a white faced watch and got the 40mm exp. A really nice watch, but ended up selling that as well and got a white panda Tudor Big Block.

Keep that sub as you will be doing another swap very soon if you do it. The 16570 is a beauty but you will be back to get another sub if you get rid of it

Op—I️ am with you. I️ have an 16570 then bought a new gym it and it feels way more noticeable. I️ like my explorer II and have thought of trading in my gmt because of that. Get whatever is comfortable and you want though.

It how the watch makes YOU feel that’s important.
The Sub is not The Second Coming in timepiece form, it’s a watch and it’s ok not to be keen on it. The Explorers, I and II are both fine timepieces. |

Since you aren’t comfortable wearing the sub, I’d absolutely part with it and find something else. There’s no sense is wearing and keeping a watch that brings a level of discomfort. Find something you like, are comfortable wearing, and fits well. Whether that’s a polar or a Patek or a Pluto the dog watch, find what works for you.

As a former owner of both of this references , I'd keep the sub and better yet flip it for a date Sub.

Keep the Sub. The EXP II is a really nice piece, but you‘d miss the Sub instantly.

OP, if you can't get a 114060 to fit I think your Polar will be even more difficult to fit. |

MHB, I actually felt the same way when I first purchased a 114060 about 2 years ago. I felt it seemed flashy to the point that I got rid of it. I have always been in love with Subs and a few months later, I bought another one as my wife kept telling me that it was in my head. I'm glad I did. It's been my daily wearer for almost a year and half, and what you'll find is that it develops a patina and loses quite a lot of it's flash. I have a 216570 that sits in the safe. While it's a nice watch, for me it's nothing compared to the Sub. At the end of the day, you need to be happy with it, or get rid of it. For me, this truly is the only watch I'll ever need, and most of my others go unworn. Good luck.

I wouldn’t. The no date sub is classic.

I’m thinking the lighter 16570 will help, though maybe not. |

Yes, as it gets scratched up, it takes on a much more subtle look in my opinion. This has become my favorite watch ever, and I’ve owned way more than my fair share. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

It is also my opinion that if you give the sub a bit more time the weight will become natural to you. I personally wouldn't make this trade. E- |

You should wear what makes YOU feel comfortable. Should you decide to change, sell your 114060 first, then get the last of the 15670 models with the good bracelet. I sure wouldn’t be trading !

I have 116610 and never received a single comment on it. Though, I do agree that to our WIS community, SubC is a bit more bling. Keep the Sub or go 5 digit in my opinion. |

I have a sub and an explorer 1. I love the explorer 1 - classic look, easy to read dial, goes well with a suit, and it doesn't draw attention.

If it wears a little big and heavy, try a 14060. It's so light, you won't know it's there.

I’ve had both and the 16570 polar is my work watch and travel watch. White face seems to draw less attention. The ceramic sub looks bigger and shinier. Polar works for me. 5-digit case size works for me too, so that’s where I’ll stay, with the exception of my BLRO. Don’t sell the sub. Save for the 16570. You can find some at $5k or less from TS, here. Try it and if you don’t like it you can sell it and not take a big hit.

I wouldn’t do that trade.
By the way, take it to an RSC to get it sized, I used to own a 5 Digit Yachtmaster and could never get a perfect fit like I have with my sub. Just for reference since we have very similar wrist size. 5 1/2 links on 12 o’clock and 4 on 6 o’clock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
