While the 6 digit subs may be more "bulky" they make up for it with better fitment due to fewer permanent links and the glide lock clasp, IMO. I wouldn't discount them from the discussion if wearability is what you're after.

If you can get your hands on a D500 at a decent price, that would be my pick.

Great feedback. I’m learning toward the 500. Better bracelet, looks and wearability. Plus, it’s not as common which is nice.

It used to be the 14060m and the 114060, now it’s the 116500 everyday. It wears beautifully

Either is perfect for daily use. Brian Williams wears a black pre-ceramic daily with his suit and it looks great. Not too flashy at all. It looks like a 116520 although it could easily be a 16520. The black 500 is gorgeous and probably goes with a suit better than the white one although I prefer the latter.

A pre-ceramic Sub would be a more understated choice than the current model. There’s a beautiful 5513 in a pawn shop I saw the other day that looks unpolished to my eyes. Bevels intact and nice patina on hands, markers. The pearl is still on the bezel too. It looks like an ‘87 model. Probably one of the last ones with the WG surrounds. They’re asking $9500 though. Just a couple of years ago it would’ve been much, much less. Still thinking about it though since these seem to keep going up in value.

My middle aged eyes vote submariner. Legibility rules. Not a knock on the Daytona I just find it easier to quickly get the time from a sub.

Prefer the SD4K due to the date on it. No need to choose which for what as I wear what I feel like. 14060 gets the least wear however. It is also most likely to get used in sticky situations.

I have a Daytona and I almost never wear it more then 2 days in a row. I would vote for a sub in this case
