Yup, me too. I wouldn't buy it if I'm not going to wear it.

I would wear it and eventually the concern of any blemishes will go away. I personally think watches I've seen for sale that are over a decade old and have deteriorating stickers on the back from wear are gross. Keeping the box, papers, hangtags and other items ensures the provenance is there if you ever trade or sell down the road.

A ship is always safe in a harbor but that's not what ships are built for.

Unfortunately this is not a very desirable model, this is just a two-tone Daytona that has some of the worst resale of the chronographs. He kept the wrong watch in great condition, that's unfortunate for him.

This is getting so bizarre.. people not wanting to wear a watch because it may get scratched? You buy a luxury watch because you've reached a point in life where you can splurge and enjoy some luxuries. If the money aspect is that much of a factor its not the right thing to be buying. I look at watches as something I enjoy, if the value goes to zero tomorrow so be it, the fact that they have decent resale and if times get tough can be sold is a plus, but nobody knows what the future holds.

Thank you for the input. The consensus is I should just wear the watch. I may wrap it up as a Christmas present to myself.... God knows no one else will be getting me anything I will actually want!

No, you drive it. And now it's worth half of what you paid for it. But that's why you bought it.

Ditto the watch. It's a watch. Wear it, enjoy it. If you want to worry about something, read the financial news.

I would do what the original owner did: peel off the stickers, save them, wear the hell out of the watch, and then polish the watch and put the stickers back on and sell it!

Yes ! Assuming you like TT, what's not to like about buying a LNIB piece at a good price and enjoying the heck out of it.

Buy the watch and enjoy it, be the one to put 'patina' on it and memories for many years to come!

That is one expensive paper weight if you will not wear it as intended.

I have now wrapped the watch and placed it under my Christmas tree for Christmas morning... a present from Santa at which time I will remove the stickers and, size the band and wear the watch as intended!
