I have a dilemma. I have an opportunity to acquire a 5 digit TT Daytona, F series from 2004/5. The watch was purchased new from an AD by the current owner. The price is fair, and he has the original box, paperwork and hang tags for the watch.

Here's my dilemma... The watch is pristine, still has the stickers on the case and buckle and plastic bezel protector. The original owner claims he has only worn the watch on two occasions, when his daughters got married. Because of its condition I believe him. My problem is I am not sure I can bring myself to wear this watch. This watch looks as though it just came from an AD... Not a scratch on the case. I wear all of my watches, believe that's what they are for, but I am not sure I will be able to pull the stickers on this piece.

What would you do in this situation?

I'll keep the stickers on and wear the heck out of it...the stickers will come off eventually...

A: You'd rip the stickers off, think nothing of it and wear the watch.

Exactly. I am suspicious of 15 year old stickers too...

If it's cheap enough just
buy it
Then flip it
Then buy one without stickers on

Unfortunately Rolex without stickerst costs more
So you will have to add money

Wear the watch, no point in buying it to look at it in the box. Just be careful and you'll be good =)

Its just a watch for gods sake and just like any other watch it tells the time and is meant to be worn on the wrist.

No, you drive it. And now it's worth half of what you paid for it. But that's why you bought it.

Ditto the watch. It's a watch. Wear it, enjoy it. If you want to worry about something, read the financial news.

I think because of the condition, if I were you I would buy a safe or deposit box and save it for at least 30 years. Then I would sell it and hopefully make a few bucks profit...

I mean look the Paul Newman Daytona sold for a couple million then the next year it sold for 15.7 million!

If it were me I would just wear it, and thank my lucky star's I got it at a fair price..

It's just a watch wear it daily and get your moneys worth out of it. I never understood why people on this forum even buy watches if they won't be worn daily or rotated as part of a collection. It's not the Mona Lisa wear the hell out of it.

Hard to imagine a TT Daytona appreciating to the moon. In fact, you maybe paying to much if the seller is asking a premium. Seek a gently worn one and save
