I had SubC before. Unfortunately it is just a black. I know it is a timeless watch etc etc however I see a lot of people rocking SubC these days. It is kind of a "sweet spot". Everything else in a "sport" range is ridiculously more expensive.

I am talking about such pieces as Batman, Pepsi, Hulk.

I would love to get a a Hulk especially now being summer but it is too much on a grey market.

I haven`t seen too much DJ41 Blue in the wild so decided to go for it. Now i feel more comfortable about smooth bezel/jubilee combo after all the comments.

Any of you guys rocking this particular combo with super casual outfits ?

I can have one delivered to me by 10th of June exactly for my 35th Birthday however I am anxious to pull the trigger so to speak.

Smooth bezel and jubilee bracelet is to me the best combination. There are far more situations - casual, formal, sporty, etc. - where a smooth bezel seems more appropriate than the fluted, so the smooth is more versatile to me.

Since I don’t prefer the fluted bezel, and I prefer the jubilee bracelet, that’s the DJ41 combination I have. For the same reason, the smooth bezel is what I chose for my DD40 as well.

I am hoping to get a DJ41 in the next year or so for my first Rolex. I find this thread very interesting and informative.

I'm pretty sure I want a jubilee but not sure on fluted or smooth for the bezel or the dial color.

I rarely ever dress up. Slack and a polo are dressy for me. Usually jeans. I work off shore oil and gas so I would never wear the watch at work. However it would be worn quite a bit when to at work.

To be honest the best way is to try it on. I have tried fluted and felt nothing + I think I won`t be able to pull off fluted + jubilee combo.

You need to try it on and see how you feel about it.

Well I got mine today !

The blue dial is stunning ... very difficult to capture. The colour varies massively depending on light. It's a beautiful case shape that fits the wrist superb. Very comfy on the oyster. I'm actually really liking the oyster with PCLs ... maybe because Ive had countless Sports with all brushed links, and its a novelty. Probably wear off when the scratches appear !
