My SD43 makes these noises. AD said it’s perfectly normal. I’m guessing most, if not all, 12xxxxx models will do something similar.

Ive just got a mk2 dial 126710 and comparing the two side by side it makes almost no noise but still noisier than older movements so I guess they differ a little from piece to piece.

I spoke to Rolex re this issue and they said they had had plenty brought in with customers very concerned....they offer to oil the bearings and apparently this quiets down the rotor considerably.
