Yes absolutely. The surprise shipment from the vault in the back is a classic line.

Nice one! Congrats!

The problem with my area is all the AD’s are pretty high end so going in to purchase some smaller gift like items isn’t really an option. You have to be spending a few k to actually buy anything.

I have been offered the SD 43 2 times within 4 months by 2 different AD's one that I have bought 2 pieces in 2 years and 1 that I have bought 2 pieces in 10 years. I do not think this particular model is too hard to get. I passed on both occasions since I am waiting for the Hulk and BLNR which I was assured will get in the coming 3-4 months and need the funds for those 2.

I'm not surprised. The waiting list does not exist, I learned that it is not by numerical order, rather at the head of the customers or their expenses.

Imagine that you are going for a full gold or platinum piece, we will deliver you as a goodies quickly a piece of steel or, as in this case, if you spend in jewels or others and run their business you would be a little more privileged and better seen…

The key in fact is the relational !

For example, I got my 116610LV in 8 weeks by good relationship with the retailer.

Again there is no waiting list, the AD's deliver to whoever they want, their best clients first, then to the relational and level of expense / sympathy, I am convinced.
You are not the number 18 of a list and you will get the 18th that comes, it's a joke or bluff!

Aside from that, congratulations

Congrats on your purchase- bundling sales certainly helps in metropolitan areas.

I don't think the SD43 is that hard of a model to get currently, saw one in the display at an AD near me 3 weeks ago. Not trying to rain on your parade, but I wouldn't expect this to happen with a daytona, batman, or pepsi.

You bought jewelry which led to your not waiting for the watch. Without the gold purchase youd still be waiting:)

Big congrats ❗️My AD gets more SS Daytona’s than SD43s.
Best professional sports watch Rolex makes IMO.

good honest Relations is priceless.
Enjoy your mighty SD43 :-)
I'm fairly confident that this works for numerous ADs. I've passed up a sky-dweller, daytona, sea-dwellers, subs, and could *maybe* have talked my way into a Hulk all while on the hunt for a BLNR. An AD I have zero purchase history with is in a location I frequent for numerous other things, and I always make it a point to stop by and talk watches, kids, hot sauce, running, and everything in between. They've yet to call me, but do receive regular shipments and are happy to let me know what's in the back when I swing by.....as you said, good, honest relations are priceless.

To OP: Congrats on the new watch!

I'm quite confident there isn't a "waitlist" per say. I think many ADs hold onto these watches for their best clients. For example, I contacted my local AD, that I have a great purchase history with, and said I would like to buy a SD43. He said come down at noon to pick it up. Literally within 2 hours of asking for it...

If you have a great purchase history with an AD it's not that difficult to obtain these watches.

The day people stop thinking that AD's are doing them a favour by setting them a mass produced watch cant come soon enough. I'm sick of these games they play with peoples heads, making them believe they are special when they are just extracting maximum profit out of you.
