Is this across one or multiple boutiques (the spending). I’ve spent north of that across (sigh) 3 boutiques and haven’t gotten a whiff of a 15407 but have been invited to golf events and sent year end gifts... |

Ouch. I’m afraid to guess based on this thread how much purchase history a ceramic PC is going to run!

Lol just watched it and wanted to post it here - one great success story, congrats and wear in good health. Did the boutique know that you have a YouTube channel? I think it helped a lot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

True but that was my fault because I messed them around on my orders.

Actually no it was my order for the white ceramic that caused the delay for the ceramic Openworked.

Sorry again. Just as an aside you would not believe how many people from here have used my name with AP Boutiques and dealers around the world over the years in some hopeless and misplaced ploy to try and curry favour. The dealer or boutique (many of whom know me) then send me a message “do you know xxxx, he said you were good friends and that You were helping them get allocations.”
Not only is this rarely true and I have no idea who these people are but you can imagine AP take a dim view of it and these speculative enquiries end up doing the enquirer more harm than good! On the other hand if I know someone and know they are serious, I will always go out of my way to make the introduction for them and the dealers appreciate that approach far more in my experience.

Agreed. No apologies necessary.
I'm the same way. :) And have encountered my fair share of situations like the one you described. |

But I cant also help feeling done hard by (I know I know, 1st world problems, but this is a watch forum). Ive bought several watches, including precious metals from the boutique, maintain a good relationship (whatsapp basis), know the manager, dont flip the watches etc and i cant even get on a "list" or anything, not even a 4 year line. Just plain, "probably impossible". I just wish AP can make it abit more consistent or have some transparency on how one can go about obtaining one. If they want people to spend X$ or whatever then so be it, but then I hate it when they instigate that but not everyone is subject to that either. Im all for super VIPs, like Conkers getting whatever they want, sure, hes a super important client, that makes sense and I have no issues with that. Rant over!

The worst part is doing all that, still not managing to get one, and then seeing brand new unworn ones pop up on the grey market. |

What a world we live in that we can't even stand in line to hand over $50K for a stainless steel watch

Even if we do all of those things he claims he did, we still don't get offered anything so theres clearly more to it. I unfollowed LWC a while back because I don't buy his story, primarily a lack of authenticity in the way he comes across e.g. clickbait titles such as buying $100k watch, but yet he lives in London and paid retail. |

I totally understand your frustration.. maybe it varies from country to country. In 2018 when I went to the AP house in London and put my name down, the guy knew that I’ve only ever owned two APs (the 15400st in 2016 which is no longer in my collection and the jumbo which I picked up in 2018) I was frank telling him that it wasn’t bought from the U.K “cause you guys want me to buy watches I don’t like” and I never do that plus I only buy steel watches, and believe it or not he actually respected that and said that I’ll get on the list and it will be 4 years and he actually said “sometimes we pick names from the bottom of the list” I’m not sure if I would’ve gotten it from London if I did wait for the 4 years but the itch kept bothering me and luckily I did something about it and was able to get it from a different continent. I believe there are others that their first watch from AP was the 15407st as well. I hope you do get it soon man and maybe try a different strategy with the boutique (refuse to buy anything else until they add your name etc) Good luck |
