Not a smart deal to your end, unless you want the new Submariner so bad

Would you trade a 2008 14060M for a new Submariner?

What amazing advice! I have been on the fence concerning this possible trade for weeks. Thanks again!

I would be surprised if dealers are even taking trade-ins in this economic climate.

No way, I love my 2 liner. It’s a classic

Definitely.

But wouldn't put any cash towards the trade.
Straight swap.

I wouldn’t trade it towards the 114060. Plus it’s almost a classic by now too. Yours is in great shape judging by the photo.

I sold my 2 liner for the 114060 then sold it for the 4 liner random 14060m and never regretted it. Plus the 4 liner random serial is one of a few that has the same movement (parachrom hairspring etc) as the 114060.

I own both of those watches and wouldn't make that trade. My 114060 is going up for sale soon and the 14060M would be the last to leave my collection. Nothing wrong with the 6 digit I just strongly favor the 5.

Any concerns with the bracelet / clasp on your 14060m? That’s my biggest hesitation about selling my SubC...I love the bracelet and glide lock

If the 14060m is in good condition, I would never make that trade.

Obviously there's no comparing the bracelets as the glide lock is king. That said, I actually like the older bracelets on the 5 digit models. They're still very well made as evidenced by that fact that every 5 digit model still wears one and they "fit" the models well. By fit I mean in construction, weight, material, and vibe. They look and feel like they belong together, if that makes any sense.

116261 vs 116610

Would you trade Turnograph 116261 steel-gold plus 1000€ for Submariner 116610?
Please your opinions,thanks in advance.

Wearing a 5 digit Sub is a pleasure.

Wearing a 6 digit Sub is a chore.

Nope. Not for me. I have a similar age sub and a new LV Sub. The older ones are much more comfortable and to me look timeless rather than the ceramic.
Also I think my old sub is worth more than a new one at retail so please stick.
If you get an itch for a newer watch go for a different model and save like crazy.
I think you would regret the trade.

I don't think the Dealer will do the trade since they have not called you back.

No, you have the better and far more versatile watch. Trade your classically proportioned sub for a giant circle on square with crockery bezel, and bracelet that looks to narrow for the case...that's a hard no. Plus, you have had your watch for a while and I imagine its been through some adventures and memories associated with it.

I would make the trade. Prefer six digit Subs to five all day long.

You may want to reconsider. Looks just about perfect on you. Does it look and feel... too good?
