My morning routine...

As you can see on my watch, less than 10 minutes for a delicious cuppa from bean to cup.

So agree!

I can’t find many that stack up to my freshly home-brewed cup.

Typically the longer I’m away from home I tend to find some good coffees outside, but that’s just because I start to forget how good mine was.

By the way, not sure if you’ve tried Blue Mountain coffee from Jamaica, but for me, I can’t find anything that matches it...

Coffee and Rolex

Decent Espresso DE1PRO (v1.1)
Kafatek Monolith conical 71mm

V60
Fellow kettle
Acaia Pearl S scale
Lido 3 grinder
And I’m waiting for my Monolith Flat Max

I enjoy beans from all over the world, light roast from local roasters (Nektar, Zab, Pilot). I enjoy especially fruity notes of ethiopian beans.

Here is our Jura Giga 6, a super-automatic with twin bean storage bins, grinders, and thermoblocks, which makes it easy to brew decaf and caffeinated drinks without re-loading. Oh, and that’s my wife’s Daytona.

I keep it simple at home, and make lots of pourover-style filter coffee. I used a Lido 2 handgrinder, digital scale from Market Lane in Melbourne, and buy lots of different beans from various roasters as there are so many around Brisbane now. The one constant is a fortnightly bag posted up from Market Lane; they buy and roast very high quality green beans, always from somewhere different. My favourites are usually from the Sidamo region of Ethiopia (taste like a Cherry Ripe bar).

Quite a few coffee fans ‘round here; there’s a semi-regularly updated ‘Coffee Lovers Thread’ in the Open Discussion section you might like to check in on from time-to-time, currently hiding several pages deep.

Australia has a really strong coffee culture, with some really good coffee!

I got my Breville in Gold Coast.
