It's good to hear that you bought what was right for you, rather than what is hyped on the internet.

Omg That’s the one I want. Lol. I wish it was in the states I would get it ASAP! But yeah that watch is not for everyone. I like bigger watches. The SD43 is my daily and it’s a beast. Although I’m wearing my new BLNR now to take it for a test drive.

I wonder how many potential sales have died because of the snowflake hands?

It's a beautiful watch, but check the legibility when you get your hands on one.
Pls report back on the BLNR vs SD43.... how does the size and weight feel of SD43 compare to the BLNR?
Cheers

Despite being very legible, I would say it's not insignificant.

When I told the AD that, he said that Tudor is all about heritage. They had those snowflake hands in the late sixties I gather.

Congrats on the new watch, looks great. I had the Bi-metal SkyDweller with the white face, it had been my dream watch until I actually owned it. In my opinion it was too big, too heavy and has features I never needed. The advice you give regarding look and feel is so important, I wear a Daytona now, much more comfortable.

Got the call from an AD for a Sky-dweller and ended up with...

The BLNR definitely wears smaller. It’s a lot lighter too. The SD43 has a nice heft to it. Almost like wearing a PM piece. I personally prefer the SD43 as I like a little more wrist presence and the weight doesn’t bother me.

The case backs is where the comfort imo comes into Play. The SD43 case back is very tall where the BLNR is almost flat. You have to wear the watches differently imo. The SD43 sinks in my wrist and stays put. You have to wear it on the tight side to get the correct fitment. I can see how it would give some people wrist fatigue because the weight is noticeable but it’s not bothersome for me. The case back also might make the watch ride high if you don’t have some meat on your wrist.

The BLNR on the other hand wears much smaller. It’s lighter and sits almost flat on the wrist. Because of this I wear the watch on the medium loose side. If I wear it tight the crown digs into my skin. The PCL give the BLNR more wrist presence than the submariner.

Overall I still love the SD43 as it feels more special on my wrist. I like the heft of the watch because when you spend 10k plus on a watch you want to feel it imo. On the flip side the BLNR is miles more comfortable. I forget I’m wearing it sometimes. With the SD43 you never forget it’s on your wrist if that makes sense.

I think you said you didn’t like a heavy watch that felt unbalanced. I would lean recommending the GMT for you. Either the BLNR or the BLRO as the GMT feels much more balanced on my wrist. I can see the BLNR being a better daily for most. The SD43 in rotation. Hope this helps you out.
