Same thing every time Rolex releases new items......people saying they have no interest or its ugly, etc. As soon as they're released, the buying frenzy will begin. The Hulk was pretty much pooh-poohed up until fairly recently. Most people said they wouldn't wear a green watch..........LOL!!!

In my opinion the original is always the more sort after model, look back through history and take a look at the prices of the first even rolex submariner models that were released, the 16610lv is iconic, the first ever sub model to obtain a green bezel.

Lets not forget the "FLAT 4" model 16610lv's, the true 50th anniversary models, these will always be miles ahead of any subsequent "Kermit".

BNIB Hulks will go over 25K asking price. Just watch. I'm not impressed with the new Subs.

I like the two tone but the lack of gold crown is strange

Any 116610LV owners interested in a Cermit?

Rolex has no Cermit’s

But, Kermit’s? Oh Yeah! We got those...

No Hulk owner will want one. jmo

But if Rolex announces only 10,000 per year will be released, you’ll see lots of action.

If you're going to say "Kermit II" why not just say Cermit? Easier to type and its unique.you can still pronounce it as a K but just spell with a C to differentiate it.

I wouldn't change my Hulk for anything that just came out. Nothing like the magical green dial!

Disappointed to see Rolex drop the colored dials on the LV and LB, IMO that’s what made these references special.

Yup, one of a kind watch. The green gold dial, rolexes signature green, 40mm, less in numbers as compared to the black sub and now discontinued.

Guys, Wei koh of Revolution watch uploaded a video on his instagram with all the new releases. The new LV seems to have the same bezel and it looks no where close to the beauty of the HULK.

Just not enough there to make me want one over my current rotation.

JMHO but these are two completely different watches. Green dial is intended to be flashy and the ceramic Kermit is more subtle.
Well said. The Kermit is far less flashy. Personally never a Hulk fanboy but it seems plenty popular to do well on the secondary market. Especially now.

You can't even see the difference from 5 feet away. Its a lackluster change to the current model and they killed the 1 thing (sunburst) dial that really set the watch apart. The hulk looks like a Kermit in low light but the Cermit will not look like a Hulk ever.

I never bonded with my "hulk" so I sold it. I'm not regretting that now. The new LV looks very nice imo.

No, the cermit is just a regular black sub with green bezel. The kermit was different than 16610.

I too am wondering where this will go. There is no telling with the finicky and unpredictable demand of Rolex. I could certainly see this taking some demand away - time will tell.

The price of the Hulk became comical quickly! I am curious if that will last ie. is anyone actually gonna pay 20G for a sub?

I really hope the Cermit bezel is different than the hulk bezel. Never really liked the hulk bezel, but the hulk dial is a totally different story.

Funny, no one liked the Hulk when it first came out, now everyone likes it... funny how that works. With K2 I wonder how long will it take? Based on this thread they will just be sitting on the shelf...

I am with you and calling it a Kermit 2 or the "K2" for short lastly maybe a Kermit C or KC for short as Rolex the maker of the watch identifies it as a Kermit and not a Cermit... but hey that is just me...
