The hulk is a nice looking watch, the Pepsi also a great looking watch with a better combination of colors and SS jubilee bracelet or the white gold oyster bracelet with black dial (discontinued) blue and meteorite option. No trade

I don’t really trade watches but out of these two I’d take the LVc. The green gold dial was something special. Rolex you should’ve kept the sunburst dial as a no date version to compliment the Kermit date.

I'm there with you. Plus I owned the LVC before it was famous and sold it, it was beautiful indeed but I sold it for a reason so no going back for me. When I sold it, I replaced it with a BLNR, so today fomo means nothing, I prefer the BLRO.

I don't understand the logic of buying what's hot, buy what you like and eventually every model will be cancelled, just wait about ten years. Once upon a time Submariners sold way better and we're going to see the playing field level out with the 2020 releases, people are going to shift to the Subs. So the choice will now be more natural as they're all hot at the moment. You'll be forced to pick the one you like most.

I guess if folks are collecting for IG or "investing" they're going to always be searching and never happy as every year the mood changes.
I'm fortunate to just enjoy mechanical watches and buy what I like regardless of popularity although what I like can be popular, but it's not my criteria.

Both is best, I wouldn't trade one for either and try to ignore what is happening in the market, luckily I can.

I have owned both, sold Hulk recently to fund a Pepsi. Although I miss the Hulk, I prefer the Pepsi.

No, the Pepsi's a proven color scheme that's retained a lot of fans over the years. It's held it's value also as one of the most desired of the SS models.

All hype aside, the Pepsi is the better watch
Better movement
More complication
Jubilee
Love the bezel

But do what makes you happy

No, I would trade to get the elusive/grey-expensive Pepsi for my Hulk.

But then I would not own a Hulk anymore...

I would not make that trade.
Forget about market value, forget about the hype over watches that are far from rare.

If you wouldn't do it before it got discontinued, I don't see a reason you should do it now.
If it were a watch you were desperate to get for years, it is one thing, but I don't understand falling in love with a watch only after everyone wants it.
Stay true to yourself and what YOU love, nothing else matters!
If you follow trends, and chase what is better "value", or what is "rarer"(not that anything in the world of steel rolex IS rare), you will never ever enjoy this hobby, and you will always have a sense of "fomo" :)

The Current Pepsi is cool but there have been many versions of the Pepsi bezel gmt going back to the 1960’s so 60 years worth (minus a few small blips where they were not produced with Pepsi bezel). There is only one version of the Hulk produced for “only” 10 years. If they don’t bring it back, it will be very collectible in the future.

You’d regret that trade for a very, very long time...

I owned a Hulk and quite honestly, it was a bit chunky and I eventually got bored with it. Something on that watch just didn’t work for me. But, different strokes for different folks. Did I just age myself?

Think you’d regret trading the BLRO. I’m still in the honeymoon phase with mine, but absolutely love it.

Regardless of the current insanity surrounding the now discontinued LV - I have to actually like a watch to wear it - so no, I wouldn't trade my Pepsi for a Hulk. This too shall pass.

I'd be interested to know how the Brlo is more comfortable?
I've owned a BLNR and a Hulk, certainly didn't notice any difference whatsoever in comfort, I did prefer the BLNR as don't like the sunburst green dial not matching the green on the bezel, TT blue sub has the same problem also I think, earlier flat blue dial looked so much better

Totally agree with you on the flat blue sub dial matching the ceramic bezel.
