I passed on the Hulk many times and have patiently waited for the right "sea". My current "sea" is the SD4K, but have the new LV on the horizon!

Congrats!

I just missed you by a day, I was in there yesterday to pick up my 124060. I‘m sure we have the same sales guy, he’s absolutely the best.

Congrats again, and enjoy!

Thanks. It certainly comes down to personal preference, but I totally agree. I wouldn't even describe the Hulk dial as a "love/hate" thing - I think you just really need to love it to embrace to that piece. I personally prefer just having the color on the bezel to really let it pop.

Awesome trio you have there! Love it - same bases covered with the same models, just different colors!

Thanks, Jonathan! Hoping you get yours very soon. It's a really awesome and fun piece to have in the collection. I doubt mine will be leaving my wrist for the next few weeks!

As I mentioned in my original post, this isn't my full collection. Posted these three specifically as I thought they were a fitting bunch as a "land, air and sea" trio in SS. I've made other purchases there, as well as referred friends/colleagues for purchases as well (and not just trying to hook up friends with high in demand SS models). One thing I will say, having a substantial purchase history is helpful, but I think there are plenty of other factors that go into receiving models that are high in demand.

I know there is plenty of discussion over the model relative to its predecessor, but this one personally checks all the boxes for me. Once the 2020 release rumors were in full swing (especially the possibility of a blue sub in SS), I actually told my sales guy "no interest in a blue sub in steel. If we get a new green model with a black dial and slimmer lugs, I'll be waiting at your front door with cash in hand." I personally prefer the black dial as it tones down the watch and gives the green bezel a bit more pop. I have the utmost respect for passionate "Hulk" fans and commend their enthusiasm, but this one simply sings to me more. I don't mind the wider bracelet with less tapering and wider clasp. Given the brushed "ruggedness" of the Sub, I actually welcome the variety the new bracelet brings to my SS professional collection (in comparison to the jubilee on the BLRO and PCL oyster on the Daytona).

Pics below. I am very content with my land, sea and air "SS trifecta". Each of these get lots of love and regular wear (well, the LV will get lots of wear). I have a few other pieces in my collection, and have reached the point where I've sufficiently scratched the Rolex SS itch. Looking to add some colored gold next year, and open to suggestions. The DD40 in RG with Olive dial is on my shortlist but happy to hear others!

P.S. if you're ever in NYC, make a point to stop by both the Wempe store and their Rolex-boutique across the street. Over the past few years, the customer service I've received from my sales guy (who has become a dear friend of mine) as well as the rest of the staff is truly incomparable.
Thats an awesome collection, congratulations.

Love the watch and the trio you have. I don't think you even need anymore watches outside of the DD which would be all you need watch wise in your lifetime! Enjoy.

The three Musketeers. What a perfect trio.
I'm with you on the green bezel/black dial being more classy and makes the green bezel pop.
A friend of mine has the DD RG green dial, he's 30 years old, he wears it on suits, Tux as well as with T-shirts! Amazing watch.

Well done.

If I could have only three from the current SS lineup, it would likely be those. Hard to beat that trio.

Good variety in looks and complications.
