Incoming and a complete "SS trifecta"

Very fortunate to get the call this early on. My 126610LV arrived today!

I know there is plenty of discussion over the model relative to its predecessor, but this one personally checks all the boxes for me. Once the 2020 release rumors were in full swing (especially the possibility of a blue sub in SS), I actually told my sales guy "no interest in a blue sub in steel. If we get a new green model with a black dial and slimmer lugs, I'll be waiting at your front door with cash in hand." I personally prefer the black dial as it tones down the watch and gives the green bezel a bit more pop. I have the utmost respect for passionate "Hulk" fans and commend their enthusiasm, but this one simply sings to me more. I don't mind the wider bracelet with less tapering and wider clasp. Given the brushed "ruggedness" of the Sub, I actually welcome the variety the new bracelet brings to my SS professional collection (in comparison to the jubilee on the BLRO and PCL oyster on the Daytona).

Pics below. I am very content with my land, sea and air "SS trifecta". Each of these get lots of love and regular wear (well, the LV will get lots of wear). I have a few other pieces in my collection, and have reached the point where I've sufficiently scratched the Rolex SS itch. Looking to add some colored gold next year, and open to suggestions. The DD40 in RG with Olive dial is on my shortlist but happy to hear others!

P.S. if you're ever in NYC, make a point to stop by both the Wempe store and their Rolex-boutique across the street. Over the past few years, the customer service I've received from my sales guy (who has become a dear friend of mine) as well as the rest of the staff is truly incomparable.

Congrats! What a combination and you must be highly favored by the folks at your AD. I am not in the market for one, maybe because in my mind it is unattainable, but if given the opportunity from my AD to straight up buy, the answer would certainly be yes. Enjoy!

Congrats, I love it! I’m with you, I prefer the new LV to the old, although the dial on the old one was mesmerizing.

I just missed you by a day, I was in there yesterday to pick up my 124060. I‘m sure we have the same sales guy, he’s absolutely the best.

Congrats again, and enjoy!

I love both the Hulk and Kermit II.

Both of them are gorgeous timepieces.

I’m a big fan of the new green Sub. I prefer it over the Hulk. Ideal collection you have IMO. Nicely done.

Where are all the other watches you had to buy in order to get those? Seriously, did you have to make other purchases before hand?

Congratulations Joey! I got to try on the LV today at my AD. Expressed interest, so hopefully getting a call soon.

Looks awesome on you!

SWEET!!!

That's gonna to be my trifecta as well....

I passed on the Hulk many times and have patiently waited for the right "sea". My current "sea" is the SD4K, but have the new LV on the horizon!

Congrats!

Man, seriously nice choice of watches. Totally agree on the green bezel/black dial, it is a great look. I'm new to watches, and ended up going with a different AD (as they instantly gave me a Submariner on arrival), but Wempe is great. Nice people whom I hope to give my business to in some capacity in the future. Thanks for sharing!
