Without a doubt more flash. But don’t know about the “value” part.

This.

Wear whatever the hell you want. If someone has a problem with the level of flash your watch has, well, it's their problem.

The moment you let go of these arbitrary "rules" which seems to be enforced here as well from time to time ("you can't wear that watch with that outfit!! WTF BRO, TOO FLASHY" etc.) and don't give a crap what people might think, I assure you will be a lot happier. It's a goddamn watch and nothing else. People make it a bigger deal than it really is.

You wear the watch, the watch doesn't wear you.

Seriously why do so many ppl have self confidence issues around here? Surely as a grown man/woman you can stand tall and confident on your own two feet.

I wear my FULL gold pieces with shorts/tshirts/flip flops whatever the heck I feel like. Who cares what other ppl think - I can afford these toys so I'm sure heck am going to enjoy them fully.

It has nothing to do with self-confidence issues.

I'm sure many people work in positions where they don't want to show up to clients wearing $30k timepieces. Could very well be off-putting to many or give the wrong impression.

Any watch in my collection can be worn daily or not depending on what I feel like wearing that morning. There are days I’m in the mood for something quiet and understated on the wrist and others I feel like wearing something more playful and lively. I tend to enjoy the Bluesy more at the weekend when going out but on one occasion I worn it daily for two weeks straight.

The TT Bluesy is not as loud as one might think, especially indoors and outdoors on an overcast day. It only really comes alive on a sunny day and even then it will be invisible under my shirt most of the time. Summer is the only time of the year when my watches can be seen as I mostly wear t-shirts.

So OP if you’re in the mood for it you could totally wear it every day.

If the question is related to whether you could wear it daily at work if you’re meeting clients for example, then my answer is no and it applies to any luxury watch, not just the Bluesy. I don’t want to send to my clients the message they’re paying too much for my services.

Another time I won’t be wearing an expensive watch is when going to a brick and mortar watch dealer and trying to negotiate the best price on a piece I’m interested in. I’ll be sure to wear my cheapest Seiko or microbrand on that visit.

Of course I would totally avoid wearing anything of value in certain areas known for their pickpockets and watch theft

Questions like these exist and manifest in our minds only. I know people who own a hulk as a daily. It is green lol.

If you are self conscious, then don’t do it. but know it would be in your head. Most don’t notice or they don’t care if they do notice. The ones that call you out, would have likely done so with any subtle or flashy watch.

Totally agree with this, the blue dial along with the 2-tone really makes it really stand out - and remember it's yellow gold and not rose gold.

I had my bluesey for a year and sold it, I just found it really is too flashy for wearing with a suit. If you really wanna go 2-tone on this model, as a daily the black dial is better

agree on this ! life is too short to keep worrying about what others might think of you. at the end of the day, a watch is just a watch. wear it proudly! if it makes you smile while looking at it from time to time, not really minding what time it is, then you know that you made the right choice!

cheers !

I had one for 18 years and started to wear it less and less. It just became too flashy for me.

Traded it 5 years ago for a BLNR and never looked back.

Op I think it all depends.

1. Sure wear whatever you want with whatever you want and who’s cares what others think.
2. Is it more flashy then a SS watch, you bet.
3. Would I have it as my only daily, no I would use the Sub date for that if I could only have one.
4. There are several places and situations I would not wear it as a daily. When and if I am visiting a questionable area, nope I don’t wear it. Also in certain work situations. Perceived reality is reality and if the perception is you are rich in certain work situations, then you may not be happy with the result. I am not a millionaire working only with millionaires.

Do as you see fit for your situation.

I don't know as I wear multiple dailies so it wouldn't be an only. The only thing I'm certain about is that I see it as a prettier watch than a Black sub date!!

I wore my 5 digit daily for 17 years in every situation. The only time someone noticed it was on an elevator where the person was wearing a knockoff Bluesy and complemented the real thing.
I recently picked up a Sub date (while my Bluesy was being serviced) and I’m considering trading my 5 digit for the new Bluesy. I actually find my 5 digit dull compared to the SubC due to the bezel and small plots. The gold PCLs do dull over time and become less noticeable...

Yes.

Although to be fair, I'm in the "former Bluesy owner" camp, since I found it to be too flashy and sold it.

I think if you have to ask, you already know the answer.

Absolutely, I wore a bluesy for a couple of years and now have a solid gold sub but with black dial. Bluesy was way more noticeable, the three metal/color combination is the flashy as heck. That watch enters a room before you do!

That being said there is no reason it can't be a daily. You just need to be comfortable with the flash!

But they are the employer and I follow/respect it. So in my case...I do not wear flashy watches to work despite being the most senior guy in the region. My global colleagues are the same.

I have a 116613 along with many others. But I wear a Speedmaster or 14060m as my "work" watches. These really draw no attention and fit my company's work culture.

One of the better write ups, on corporate culture and what watch to wear. Almost in the same boat but I deal with a lot union employees. I prefer to leave my DJ at home when conducting meeting with them or additional training.

I can see that. In my opinion the bluesy is more loud and flashy but I find the tt chnr more intriguing.

+1 to that.

Personally I can never rock the Bluesy.
