Here is a fine selection of Rolex Warranty Cards:

“The guarantee is valid only if (1) the watch has been sold by an Official Rolex Retailer; (2) the guarantee card has been completed in full by the Official Rolex Retailer at the time of purchase; and (3) the guarantee card is presented with the watch, either to an Official Rolex Retailer or to an Official Rolex Service Centre.” Therefore they are not required to do warranty work without a valid card.....that doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t I suppose. |

eBay really should not allow that. Legit use of these is an unlikely scenario.

I purchase all my watches new from my AD and take them to get sized at the Dallas RSC. During those visits they photocopy my warranty card. I’ve taken two watches in for warranty claims a few months/year later and they didn’t require my card since it was already in their service department before. Your experience may vary, but I can tell you with 100% certainty if you buy a used watch without a matching card they will not cover anything under warranty. You will be on the hook for the bill. If anyone wants to confirm, feel free to verify yourself by contacting either the NY or Dallas RSC directly. If the watch is out of the original five year warranty period then it doesn’t matter if you have the card or not as you’ll be paying for any service intervention. |

I’ve owned several over the years with no original papers but recent RSC service papers and every dealer I’ve ever dealt with when trading those watches simply class it as no papers and lower the value accordingly. |

How do you obtain a replacement warranty card?
Quote:
In other words, don't bother to service a watch you plan to sell! Unless of course service is required to make it function correctly. I've done this same thing. Waste of money!

1) Rolex will never re-issue the original warranty card “under any circumstance.”
2) If you service a watch with Rolex, you will receive back a laminated service “card” (quotes because it is akin to getting a laminated auto insurance card for your wallet) that is flimsier than the credit card style original warranty cards. This service card represents your 2-year warranty with Rolex, post-service. 3) The original warranty card is what would be needed to constitute “papers” in the “box + papers” sets that are advertised here and in other marketplaces for enthusiasts, collectors, etc. The service card helps authentication, but it is typically referenced as “box + RSC paper” You don’t wear the card ... |

Anyone that tells you there's no monetary value there has a screw loose or is in denial. That said the actual value varies. If you recall that famous antique roadshow video of the older gentleman that brings in a first year GMT in fantastic condition. He had all the original paperwork and receipts, which they claim added about $10k to the overall value. First off, that was a while ago so for that watch and set, the overall value might be significantly higher today, but either way I think it was about 35-40% the value of the entire set!!! Pretty nuts. Now that is a rare example. Let's take a modern more common example. Let's say you had two 2000 16610 Submariners. Both equal condition, one with paperwork one with out. You might be looking at a difference of a $500-1500 for the complete set. It could be a bit more or less. Point being there IS value and in my experience with these modern watches the value percentage seems to increase at the same rate as the watches appreciate. So if the sub is worth 10k today with the paperwork, and $8500 without. In 7 years if the complete sub is worth $20k the watch only will be worth $17k. Lastly, many people prefer to purchase a watch as a complete set. IMO it's a much easier a quicker sale, should you ever decide to sell your watch. Perhaps that's not monetary but still value. |

Mallory sent it off to Rolex for repair and service it came back minus the card, Mallory proved Rolex received it as they video document items
Rolex accepted full liability and re issued a new card for it! I have even have the email proof and a hand written note from Mallory jewlers So proper history with the watch it’s a bit of a odd ball I suppose unique |

You don’t. It’s not replaceable.
You can send it in for service and get a 2 year warranty card post service. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
