I was just trying to make light of the situation. I don't need to 'catch up' I am fully aware of whats happening with Rolex and their AD''s shady dealings. I was just stating the obvious and if that upsets you, then tough.

And without a whim of care or personability.

I think an interesting question is if demand will go way down if Rolex watches become no longer (as) scarce for a regular buyer. I believe some buyers exist because the watches are scarce and hyped in social media rather than their love for the durability and history of the brand.
Hope this is wrong. |

In the same AD the other windows were full of Oris, Omega, Breitling, Longines and brimming with Rolex's other company; Tudor, except the new chrono obvs.
Like a previous guy said, if.you keep going to BMW and they're binning you off to sell to someone else that spends more, you're just gonna go down the road to Mercedes and buy a car from them?! Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk |

I thought the OP had genuinely been out of it for awhile but alas it’s just another run-of-the-mill-what’s-happening-with-Rolex threads.

Sounds like a familiar situation. Was in the Rolex Boutique in Orlando last February and they had maybe 4 in stock. My AD was a bit better back then but now they are about the same. The entire problem is the secondary market. For instance, I just checked Chrono24 and they list no less than 83 Oyster Perpetuals in Coral Red. 83. I have yet to see one in a store in person. Too many people looking to turn a quick profit and too many people willing to pay X times list for them.

You're almost up to 100 posts! :)
You could have easily ascertained the Rolex situation just by the thread titles in the forum. There is certainly no shortage of those! Sent from my SM-G991U1 using Tapatalk |

My original post was to stoke conversation about lack of availability of rolex, I know that there has been a lack of watches but it was genuinely the first time I had seen a shop window with very little in.
I was not intentionally trying to troll people or otherwise but some of the people in this forum need to have a word with themselves. People post the same stuff all the time and I haven't been on the forum loads last couple of months coz I'm getting on with life again (covid permitting). Wear your watches in good health and chill Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk |
