Coming from someone who hasnt held any of these, I think the YM42 is too similar to a sub. Disregarding market prices, I would rather have the Patek or VC. If you replace the YM42 with a WF OF Daytona, I'd take the Daytona.

YM 100%. PP comes in a very close 2nd for me. The aquanaut range inspired me to initially give the oysterflex a go and have not looked back since. Currently my favourite bracelet.

YM42 vs PP, AP or VC?

APD for me, aquanaut is a little too plain for me and overseas not casual enough.

YM42 doesn’t quite work aesthetically for me.

Helpful. Thanks Richard!

Money aside, as an everyday wear I'd go: YM > PP > VC > AP

YM and VC would be a tie for me. I would like to add both of these to my collection.
That RO offshore would be dead last.

Comparing any Rolex with those brands is just ridiculous.
Only people who know nothing about watches would do it.

YM 42 for me followed by the AP diver but one of the new editions with the in house movement. Next PP. not really into V.

Yeah I OWN both and its not as durable. All the shafts and pinions inside the Patek are 1/3 what they are in a Rolex. I spoke to a Patek watch maker and he told me the two are not even close, Rolex is considered a tractor in comparison to Patek. Hence why both are so great.

It is a good point. Tough to compare apples to apples here. Hoping to add an aquanaut at some point. I think I’ve been convinced to keep my YM42 (opposed to trading towards one of the others mentioned).

1. PP Aquanaut
2. VC Overseas
3. AP ROO
4. YM42

Rolex is not the even on the same stage as the other three.

My ranking for your lineup is:
1. AP ROO
2. Rolex YM
.
.
PP and VC are not my cup of tea, each his own.

Of those options I'd choose the VC but on bracelet.
PP 5164 would trump them all if that was in the mix.
