I'd be applying a bit more pressure there, I shouldn't be waiting 7yrs with that kind of spending history IMO.

Depends where you are though I suppose - if you're in London or another big city you're probably up against some big spenders in that area.

That's about the sum of it. Many variables, not least the people and how they get on.

That sought after watch, the BLRO.

If you really really want a BLRO or Daytona or ....., when you finally get the call from the AD you collect your grail watch, you keep it and wear it with pride.

On the other hand there are those who having got that most desired of watches are willing to sell it and make a profit from the transaction.

There is nothing that can be done to stop it, its a free market and once you leave the store the watch is yours to do with as you please, wear it, turn it into an heirloom or sell it.

The issue with the BLRO is the difficulty of producing the bezel, in many ways Rolex has created it's own problem, the red/blue colours are a real test to make and Rolex are struggling so the supply of BLRO's has slowed to a trickle.

If people are desperate to have a Pepsi then a can from the supermarket is as good as it will get for some time, enjoy it to quench your thirst whilst waiting in the queue.

I’m registered with WOS New Street, Brum.

I did reach out to the client experience email but got the ‘demand exceeds supply’ line. Have followed up asking why am I not being considered for other watches.

why do you think that? Unlike AP and Patek, Rolex doesn't have a customer registry so they have no means of knowing who a piece was sold to until the owner sends it in for service years later.

A year wait is nothing. And my AD doesn't give 2 craps about special occasions, probably because everyone uses that when asking for a watch now..

There's a grey dealer in the UK with about 16 for sale.
2 of them are 2024 brand new!
They are asking £19k each!
Jubilee seem to be fetching about £1k more than on oyster

At this point, to get a Pepsi you really need your SA to be submitting your name when they come in and really pushing the case for you to get it.

If you don’t have a good relationship with your dealer and SA it would be a real struggle. Similar to getting a steel Daytona allocation.

You should consider biting the bullet and going grey. Sadly looks like AD route won’t work.

that will also raise the question then that why are ADs selling to so many flippers (supposedly they only sell to those who not in profit making).

Was reminding my SA today that I still want one. She said she hasn't seen one in eight months, and this is a large AD chain in Southern California that definitely sells a lot of watches.

I can't speak for all ADs. My AD tries to avoid feeding people who will quickly sell a watch on, but it's not like they can predict the future or read minds, and they will always give a customer the benefit of the doubt up to a point. Once somebody owns a watch they can do what they like with it, including selling it for any reason.

Visited that store a while back (I'm from Hagley) and I'll never go back. Got laughed at when enquiring about a BLNR even back in 2018.

That's tough if you've got a spend history there though - I think if it was me I'd be looking elsewhere. Rudell's in Wolverhampton have recently lost their Rolex deal, so your choices are a little limited. Despite it being part of the same group, I'd consider popping into Goldsmiths Merry Hill. Feel free to DM me if you wish, we can can chat about it more :)

Thanks Neil I’ll DM you

Most of my purchases are elsewhere in the WOS group.

I was making inroads with Rudells with £15k spend to expect a BLNR within the year but then as you said, they got their Rolex license pulled!

Harbourne, Solihull, Worcester have succumbed to the same fate
