Pepsi supply in UK

We all know the challenges with this particular piece but I’ve heard from my AD “I don’t know if we will be likely to get another one”
I’ve been checking chrono24 for months and there is always circa 12 2024 models for sale so it would suggest there really isn’t any stock coming through?
Has anyone heard of anything?

My AD told me in May that supply was slow. One WG in 12 months when they'd usually be expecting at least one more, and 8 SS over the same period which was around one third of what they would normally expect. It can be a bit all over the place in a normal year (whatever that is) but through all the noise the rate of BLRO arrivals is noticeably down - but not stopped.

I wouldn't take anything as gospel but that's my anecdote FWIW.

My AD has seen 1 come through all year. They’re definitely on the go-slow.

The big chain stores (which most are in the Uk) aren’t selling these in droves out of the back door like people think. It’s a falicy. I can’t speak for the independents or any in other countries.

Surely if they were all going out of the back door to greys then chrono24 would be flooded with them instead of there only being 12 or so.

well i dont understand then how they end up on chrono24 in the UK. Whether its the daytonas, pepsis, ti YM or the new tudor chrono pink, they are available with grey UK dealers (unworn in many cases).

Do people really think ADs sell them directly to dealers?
I really don’t think this is the case.

They are selling watches and some customers choose not to keep them and they end up on the grey market. Simple as that.

It's probably got something to do with people selling them.

I think almost 0% chance that a small family owned independent dealer is willing to risk the golden goose that is a Rolex franchise by selling out the back door. Historically- probably, but today- no. Large dealers, maybe a few SAs are cutting side deals with "preferred clients", but at a corporate level, certainly not.

Supposedly not one delivery since November. Hard to believe but I still don't think it's worth the resale price.

No, it's both direct from AD and customers who flip them. I know this because I've spoken to a couple greys who told me which ADs their watches come from but they are usually attained through rather large six figure bundle deals including other brands.

I turned down a DJ41 a few weeks ago from a jeweler, wrong dial color, but he did comment on GMT's in general, they aren't being shipped right now.

I'm of the opinion as above, if they were going out the back door, the secondary would be flooded and that's not the case. More rumor and speculation.

As Harry said.

People buy them from ADs and flip immediately to resellers for a profit.

Its pretty common and how resellers obtain them.

Why is that so hard to understand?

It may be different in the US. In the UK its highly unlikely resellers obtain their inventory direct.

Rolex USA Inc may not care, but Rolex UK certainly does.

My AD still gets them, but not in every shipment and in much lower numbers than usual.

WG is down to 1-2 a year, and SS 1-2 every other month at most.

Customers flip them straight to dealers the minute they walk out of the door - sometimes circa 10 grand profit is a lot for someone to turn down. Tax free too...

It happens at all levels, even Le Mans Daytonas ended up on the grey market immediately despite you needing to practically be a VVIP to get one

I've not seen any true evidence of any AD's dealing directly with grey dealers through the back door. It's all rumour, unless someone can actually produce evidence of it happening constantly, then please, I'm all ears. Perhaps some of the grey dealers active on this forum can chime in here and give their view on that.

IMHO Rolex have focused on the new black/grey bezel production, as these were in ADs within five weeks of watches and wonders, which is unprecedented for Rolex, I think Pepsi production will resume, two ADs in my home town one has received two in quick succession recently, hopefully this is a good sign? Glad I got mine in 2018

I got my Pepsi back in 2021 for my 40th having been on the list for a year. It really does ultimately depend on the connection with your AD - I have never bought any jewellery and was never asked to bundle.
