Congrats Dan!
That is what I thought when I just owned a 14270. Until I felt the need for a glossy 5513 Now a matte dial Sub is calling my name |

Dan, good for you. I do hope this makes you happy. Just be careful...a recovering alcoholic wouldn't visit a bar, the same analogy could be used here. Limit your viewing of TRF would probably help...lol! Best of luck.

haha , sounds like I was reading about my own story, I'm done as well, I've been through a lot of watches. I am sticking with my 16610 that's if I can avoid looking at the for sale section of this board. I might venture into Vintage now LOL

10 Rolex's in 20 months. Almost as good as my single days in my 20's.

I feel your pain - I secretely have kept my watch affair from my wife. 1 year and 25 Rolex's for me - thankfully they are pretty liquid assets that have a quick turn around time into cash.
I agree - I cannot get past the great feel of my old watches - my 3-6-9 sub, my 5514 or my early 5513 beater. I've tried to love the new ones from multiple gold daytonas and my Heritage creations but the new ones just have no personality. I am on the quest daily though for another watch - I just don't know what it is - I am not as strong as you to drop the hobby hot potato.

I can relate to this revelation...
Numerous watches of many brands has challenged its position as my daily wearer, but I've kept mine since i got it eight years ago. Good luck, Dan!
