F2F at police station next time. If the buyer is serious to buy they should have no problems meeting inside a police station. If they won't then they don't buy.. You know where to get hold of me if you need anything. Always a pleasure working with Gab!

Police Station
That's an awesome idea! Are we allowed to do that? Transact at your local police station? Thanks Mike! I appreciate the kind words my friend! Let's have coffee some time!

Thanks Mike!
Thanks Mike! Yes! Never be too trusting. Always be vigilant. I posted this here not to try and actually retrieve the watch (but my fingers are of course still crossed) but to get the word out that these things happen and these "bad guys" are out there... Thank you for the kind words! Regards.

Thanks Mark!
I am ok - no harm done to me - only lost a watch! Ouch! I hope to get it back - or the bad guy. One less Bad Guy in the world is better than my watch returned... Thanks for the concern bud!

Only TRF Paul
Hi Paul, I did not have the watch posted on Ebay - Only TRF. But my thief saw my ad on our local craigslist - SF Bay Area. Any tips will help brother! Thanks!

Exactly!
Thanks Michael! Yes! I thought I was always cautious and extra careful by transacting inside a bank... But I guess desperate people could care less on whether or not their face is caught on camera... Be safe always my friend!

Almost happened to me
Same thing happened to me in Pleasant Hill off my SF Craigslist posting. Thankfully I figured out something was wrong and when the manager told us that someone had just stolen a Rolex in their bank 2 weeks prior I told the guy I wasn't going to sell it. He never was able to get his hands on the watch. If so I'm sure he would have ran.
What was the name of the guy you were dealing with? My guy said his name was Marcus and had a 707 phone number. Sorry for your loss. These people make me sick. |

I am very glad you didn't get hurt. I hope you get your watch back. I hate to hear stories of someone having their stuff stolen. Dosn't matter if it is a Rolex or anything else. Each of us work hard for our things and it hurts for someone to steal those things.

Very sorry to hear this; you'd think a bank would be safe. Thanks for sharing this though, maybe someone else might be saved. Good luck on recovery/insurance.
