I'd love to get a birth year Rolex (1961). Probably a GMT or Air King. Most likely a wait on either though 😞. Need to add a few others first but if one came along & the price was right and I had the money and the planets were properly aligned and........well, you get it !

I love your '64 AirKing, by the way!

Funny. I was born in 72' and my red sub was from 71' and I am under the same mind set haha!!!

I would definitely like a birth year watch as a back up to my one and only Rolex. I was born in '71 and I'm not looking to break the bank on anything. My sub is MY grail so I'm looking for the knock around watch so to speak. Any suggestions would be welcomed. I'm not trying to hijack a thread but I'm not savvy with model numbers so I'm the guy who could use a bit of direction. I'm thinking a Tudor DD jumbo.

There was another thread entitled "Birth Year Watch" that initially got me into a birth year watch...

Now you degenerates have me stuck with one.

I couldn't be happier..

The 1964 models i'm interested in are either pricey or dicey. Since I am turning 50 next week I'm considering a 50th anniversary sub as an alternative. But, yes, a birth year watch did cross my mind too...

Yes definitely! Ideally, a 1978 Daytona 6263 Black Dial...just like the one being auctioned next week at Christie's in Dubai!
