And to those that say, now you can be sure that it will be tip top for sure...
What? Really... It was supposed to be that way from the factory! If its not, its defective and should be returned. On the flip side to that coin, how can you be sure that its not a lemon..if it is, and it happens, then you will be chasing your tail getting it fixed, until they finally replace it...been down that road. Not to mention the risk that it comes back with scratches that majically appear from an RSC trip. All easy to avoid by getting what you paid for in the first place...a new watch!

Glad they got it sorted and that your AD was able to take care of you on other purchases.
I can see both sides of the situation. Fix it vs replace. But just glad you are happy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well, I'm a 'replace' man (that's what I did) but I can see the value of your argument. A good AD is a huge asset. Probably the right course for you, in the circumstances. The contribution made by a good AD can easily be under-estimated.

That would get me to SERIOUSLY thinking what my $10,000 was spent on besides a stainless steel watch. I have bought tons of watches, cheap seikos, auto invictas, and old vintage bumper mechanical watches off ebay, and NONE have ever died after a few hours. In fact, over 10 years of collecting, I can't think of a single one of those cheap watches that has failed mechanically. Unfortunately, your $10,000 and your watch are testimony to Rolex's mythical QC standards and marketing of their obsession with perfection, is just that nowadays, a myth. :( In any event, glad you feel happy in the end. |

This!!!!! IMHO a new watch isn't necessary. If it gets a full service your new watch will be great for 10 years hopefully. |
