Something about this thread that I just love.

When I first saw the ding I thought that it was disgraceful that the AD could have left that mark on a brand new watch. As many have spotted, the stickers are still on and upon looking closer I can see that it's the stickers and just a bubble.

I feel a real sense of relief even though it is not my watch. I suspect that the OP may not come back with an update - he joined in Feb and has only posted when he had an issue with his new watch, and has been directed correctly.

I could be wrong but he may be one of those that isn't going to a regular poster but knows where he'll find decent advice - in and out and got what he needs to know.

We'll see though.

I just read three pages of crap to know if it was a sticker or not. OP you have a civic duty to let us know what's going on! =-)

How could you not notice that you still had stickers on your watch? I sometimes wonder how some people get through the day.

What a thread!

Qudos to the already quoted guy halfway through who didn't read any of the thread!

OP fear not. Crisis averted hopefully and congrats on your watch and welcome to the club. Enjoy it in good health sir!

If this turns out to be a real dent, that would be interesting.

Yes it is, I didn't see it at first either. We've all been there, more or less. I think the crowd only got a little tough when the OP came back on and said it wasn't a sticker when clearly it is. Now, there may still be a dent there but the lack of further feedback suggests there isn't.

I think nearly all comments are friendly and posted only in playful jest. :)

I for one didn't notice the signs of a sticker in the pic.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. This was my first post and when I saw what I saw as the dent, I wasn't sure how to deal with it. I posted for everyone's opinion so really appreciate how everyone have provided their 2 cents.

I have taken the stickers off and the problem has been solved - no dents. Such a sigh of relief and just amazed at how simple yet beautiful a sub really is. :)

I am traveling countries and should be back home on Friday. I will post some updated pictures of the watch then.

Thanks to everyone who guided me through this. I could have sworn the AD took some of the stickers off !!

Another funny thing is that people with new Rolexes can still come across unremoved stickers months after they thought they'd removed them all. Congratulations again!!!
