that fluted bezel "halo" it makes when lights shines on it is one of the reasons I got a DateJust to begin with.

My favorite DJII...definitely fluted. The sparkle of a fluted bezel is mesmerizing.

I prefer the smooth. Slides under the radar a bit more and seems to improve versatility. No wrong choice though.

Fluted because of bracelet choices, looks great on both jubilee and oyster.
Smooth bezel only works with oyster bracelet.

Fluted, but with a Jubliee bracelet. The smooth bezel is way too fat/wide on this model, IMHO.
