I put some Glad Press 'n Seal on the left front corner of the computer and it helps prevent scuffs. No real bad scratches, these scuffs will be removed easily on the first service in 10 years. The few dings are really from momentary lapses in care on my part. It's impossible to avoid, so I've resigned myself to them, like door dings on my car. |

If you want metal things that do not scratch easily, get them made for you out of tungsten. Otherwise, enjoy your scratches :-)
