Sell the GMT outright if it doesn't ring your bell anymore. Then buy the DJ second hand and pocket some cash on top of it.

Swap it here for the new 116610 if you are bored with it.

No way. And you honestly should be insulted for the AD trying to take advantage of you.

Never. I love my DJ41, but I would never trade that GMT for it.

That is an awful deal.

If you were in my shoes, would you do it? Straight swap?

serious offer here... ill trade you for my 41mm wimbledon dial i just bought from AD and ill throw in a wolf watch roll i will buy brand new. open to negotiations of course.

As you are seeing this would be a very poor trade. New DJ's are a dime a dozen, a full kit 16710 is not.

it's clearly that you hate your GMT and honestly it's not your taste and its being there does make you feel like " what this ugly thing is sitting there for?" doesn't mean I agree with your thinking but I can see where you're coming from.

Honestly just sell your GMT and then pick up whatever signs to you!

Agreed. If the GMT doesn’t sing to you anymore, sell it and buy something that does.

AD offered me a straight swap: Datejust 41mm Jubilee Black Face for my...

Pass on the trade (you aren’t coming out ahead in that one). Agree with others, sell the GMT if you really don’t want it and then buy what you like. In this trade, if you sold then bought, you would have a few K left over.

Don't do it. Tuck the GMT away. Sell something else and get the DJ or Sub. I understand you have 'lost' interest in the GMT at the moment, and the word at the moment is key. If you let the GMT go, you will regret it. Maybe not in the next few years, it may take a decade, but will regret it if you sell it. Trust me on that. If you can, just put it away, buy what is tickling your fancy now and forget you even own the GMT.

The GMT will get your interest again. Just keep it and save up for the next one that really sings to you. Even if many years from now you pull it out from wherever you tucked it away it will make you smile and you'll be glad that you didn't sell it.

If you’re going to dump it, then at least get one of the harder to score models. That way if you miss the Pepsi, you’ll be able to reacquire it easily.

I have owned three GMT 16710s (so similar to your 16700) over the years and really can't understand all the fuss about this model. Despite my best efforts it consistently left me totally underwhelmed. The black dial DJ looks really good on you. I know what I would do, but each to their own.

Zero % chance. You have the most romantic reference pretty much ever made imo. Trade for a DJ (which is a great watch), but no wayyyyyy.

No , no , no .. Pepsi is only going to go one way...UP .

If you can swing the DJ purchase out right go for it

Put the Pepsi away for a few months , one day you'll pull it out and fall in love again.

That's a lot of times to own something that didn't appeal to you. But hey at least you tried!

Just checked your threads. You have already thought of selling the 16700 recently. If you don't enjoy it, sell it. I'd say trade for a DJ is undervalued. Sell it for a reasonable price and get something else. My idea though would be to keep it, since you owned it for so long. Sell the Omega, add some money and get a blue dial smooth bezel Jubilee DJ41.

I’ve got 2 old pair of shoes and a slightly used tennis racquet. Interested?

Dude, trading your Pepsi for a run of the mill DJ is insanity.

Some of these responses crack me up. The AD is in business to make money, not offer deals they lose or break even on.

The best value to the OP is to sell it outright, then swing back and buy the DJ. But the simplest solution (probably) is to give it to the AD. Convenience has a value also.

Lastly, not everyone on this forum is in love with 5 digit watches.
