One watch "better " than the other exact same watch .... C'mon the term "Better " is applied quite losley. The only difference here folks is the story and coloring and sure if some chose to put some $ value to said story and coloring, well then why not, free market and all. I buy the watch for what it is and both modern iterations of this watch make them both an amazing watch. In all the things that REALLY matter they are super twins. I own both of them and have no plans to sell either. But if the proverbial s, hit the proverbial fan then... I would be a special kind of person NOT to sell what would bring me the most $$ for my item... so all that to say, I would sell my Daytona C White dial instead. JK...

There is only 1 Pepsi ceramic variant, hence why the larger premium.

It's obvious.
One BLRO in steel. It was released in white gold when the BLNR was released correct?

There was a lot of push back to the nicknames and most of the hardcore keepers of the crown left the forum because of it. There was more professional talent and inside watchmaking skill that left than this forum would ever see again.

Sorry to hear that nicknames given to men’s jewelry are too immature for you.

blnr vs blro price delta isnt that big tho, btw. it is at most 2-3k difference.

for 2k more, id buy the reference i really want. not enough of a big diff for me to cheap out on a cheaper model.

that being said, i own blnr and daytona C in black dial, which also is cheaper than daytona C in white.

Agree with above. I’ve only noticed a 2-3k difference on DavidSW and C24. As previous posts have suggested, the history and shorter run time of the Pepsi likely account for the difference in price.

I always preferred the BLNR, as the colors are more muted and go better with what I usually wear, but I can appreciate both. You can’t go wrong when choosing between these two.

I was told by my AD that they receive more than twice the amount of BLNRs as they do BLROs

Why is GMT II Pepsi so much more than Batgirl on the secondary market?

My guess is if they didn’t make the blro
The blnr would probably be fetching the blro prices today

Perhaps people are reluctant to buy a watch with such a silly name. Is "BLNR on jubilee" really that muchg harder to type than "batgirl"?

Anyone that was on this forum a few years ago would know that people were crying out for the Pepsi to be released again, every year Basel world predictions would have posters speculating that this time it would happen.
It's a classic Rolex with a lot of history , it was always going to be very popular when released

Because the Pepsi is the iconic color combination for the Rolex GMT bezel. Look at the prices for bezel inserts for the previous model 16710. The Pepsi insert is always more expensive than the Coke or all black.

FWIW, I prefer the current Batman over the current Pepsi.

Putting you in the minority, hence the price difference.

I respect your opinion, but just stating a fact.

I wonder if prices will level out once the BLNR is discontinued.

I agree. While some ADs get an even amount of Red/Blue vs Black/Blue, I am going to say the vast majority of them get way less Red/Blue GMT.

last time I was in an AD, the staff using these cartoony nicknames made it even more cringe.

i may use them in these forums, but i won't do so in stores or in conversations.
i just feel that it disrespects the brand.

No one, absolutely no one that I know personally, prefers the BLRO over the BLNR.

IMHO.... It’s the WIS demand which keeps the BLRO prices high. And Insta hype. I don’t about production nos so I couldn’t add that to the mix.

Same here, but they prefer the discontinued BLNR Batman over Pepsi more so than the new jubilee. Price difference is just the combination of more supply of Batgirls than Pepsi, History, and the availability of BLNR for more than 9 years vs 3 years for Pepsi. Rolex will soon introduce the ceramic Coke and discontinue the BLNR, and the same thing will happen to Coke vs Pepsi.

You're right, forgot about the Pepsi GMT that was released in white gold.

Figured the OP was making the comparison within the stainless steel family only.

Agree with you regarding less Pepsi produced, but the reason has to do with Rolex strategy of producing less of one reference in each hot model in their range more than the difficulty in producing Red and Blue. Hulk vs Black Sub, Blue SD vs other colors, BLNR Oyster GMT vs Black GMT, even green dial gold Daytona vs other colors, etc. This strategy is only for the supposed hot models only.

When you're paying more $ because you like a certain colour bezel, then there can never be another debate with your partner on why they need another pair of shoes, because they're fabulous and have a different colour buckle!

The Batgirl is a lovely piece of men or womens jewelry but some find the pepsi more beautiful.

Subliminal impulses drive desire. Check sales figures for the flag of the USA vs the flag of Estonia. It's no secret that the USA ("our great nation") is the most patriotic country outside of N. Korea, Kazakhstan, etc.

This!

Regardless of nicknames both are beautiful and impossible to get at MSRP (at least for me)
