I absolutely love the subtle changes they made to the polar dial. This will absolutely be my next watch! I do really like the look of the new black dial too, but it will always look off to me without the phantom hands. Legibility is improved in both which is a win for a tool type watch. I realize they aren't tool watches anymore per se, but they are tool like.
Thanks for sharing the pics gents. I can't wait to see them in person and add the polar to my collection. |

It seems like Rolex is advertising the Explorer 2 hard. I hope they have a good amount of supply. Have not seen many yet in the States. I am on lists for 2 AD's now for the polar.

Picked up the polar a couple of days ago. Wasn’t on the list but was texting my AD to ask about my status on the Sub list and she said “no Sub yet, but this just came in if you want it.”

No purchase history. I have always bought gray or used, except I have bought links for my other watches from my AD so they know me. I have had a deposit down on a Coral since October, and that reference is super hard to get. After the announcement I asked my sales rep to add the new Polar to my list. She was surprised it came so fast. I will have both 16570 and 226570 Polars in my box tomorrow.
Also, I am having a red alligator strap made to match the GMT hand on the 16570, and now I am going to get the same made in orange alligator for the 226570. I will be doing videos of them.

Picked mine up from the AD two weeks ago. Having owned the previous reference I can say with great certainty that it’s a completely different watch. None of the parts of the new reference are slipped over from the old reference. The case, the dial, the hands, the movement, the bracelet, and even the bezel are completely different. The differences are minute but noticeable for those who have owned both.
The caliber 3285 movement is great keeps perfect time (mine is running +2 seconds after two weeks). Simply blown away by the accuracy. My only complaint is that the inner and outer edge of the bezel is brushed on 2/3 sides rather than fully polished. Overall it’s a great travel watch, and I recently took it on a trip to Tanzania. |

I put my name down at 2 of my local AD. One seemed more promising than the other on getting me a watch.

I bought one in 2019 from an AD in Panama. Walked in, saw it, bought it. My incoming thread is on here somewhere. Anyhow, it didn’t work for me, I had the 5 digit previously and found it better balanced piece. I sold it to watchbox if I remember correctly.

Can somebody confirm me if the Polar has a matte or glossy dial? I can’t find any information.
Thank you! |

the new Polar is a Matte Dial. It's very flat compared to the previous example. Some like that, I didn't love it, it is too matte with hands markers and dial all matte, for me. YMMV
