It has to be the Deep Sea. All Rolex watches can take a battering, so they are all go-anywhere do anything…but the Deep Sea can go somewhere that others can’t.

Any of them really.
For me, the first that come to mind are a Sub or Exp II.

PS: As for Rolex circa 2024... SkyD on one wrist, Daytona on the other.

Tudor gmt looks so much better on that than the OEM bracelet. I hope they offer a jubilee style on them soon and while they’re at it thin the 41 mm down a couple like the forty eight.

5 digit black Subs. Date or no date. Perfect do everything watch. Great proportions, sturdy, and classic!

Marc, from LI watches, always has a watch on each wrist. Just watch any of his videos. Makes me smile each time he does his wrist check.

If your wrist can handle it so can a Rolex and most other watches..

But in the giant picture of ‘high end’ watches Rolex watches are not in it.

If this were a test question, the “most correct” answer would be Submariner in black… But, I think that all of the sports models in steel can do what you describe…

Explorer 1 or
DJ on oyster with blue or maybe green dial, flutted bezel. That watch can do everything.

DJ is also a good call but I think the date just is just that bit more versatile.

My 114270 was the closest to a GADA watch, but even that I didn't like to wear everywhere, so more a GPDT [go places do things] watch.

I mentioned Explorer II previously in my choice,

But also, I have to commend the regular Explorer in this line-up.

A downside of Rolex, of late, to some, is that they've become too far removed from their toolwatch past and that they're too much like jewellery these days. The highly polished areas of even the Explorer can lead us to believe this notion.
However, if you can handle getting it scratched up, bashed around, and having it take on a nice patina from everyday use and the occasional trip to pretty much anywhere in the world doing anything, then it's probably the best all-around tough Rolex you can buy and the best value for money.

Will it survive a trip to the peaks of Everest today? Yes, absolutely, and more. You could take it mountaineering one day, then snorkelling the next, and it won't lose a beat.

I definitely think it’s the right answer. I don’t have one sadly. I do have a Deep Sea Challenge, which can go places the Deep Sea can’t, but nowhere it would ever need to go, and in most settings it doesn’t work, so despite being more capable, it actually isn’t better in real terms!
