side stepping a little. pics of the beautiful Mercedes Benz safety car from the Shanghai F1 Grand Prix. look at the massive brake disc rotor and caliper. (my digital camera wasn't any good against the extremely fast F1 cars)

Phil, I asked about the PAM 410 hands to Panerai and the reply I got was the hands are made of brass and Rhodium plated.

Some additional info I found on Rhodium plating.

Rhodium is a very rare chemical element, one of the five main precious metal used for jewelry and a member of the platinum group. Rhodium plating is used, usually on jewelry items, to provide a plate that will protect the underlying metal from scratches and tarnish, and will also give a shinny white, almost reflective appearance.
