There is a reason why they say that diamonds are a girl's best friend

Honestly I got the diamond dial because all my wife's jewelry is white gold and diamonds so we both were the watch but it is a back up for me when I dont want to were my YM

the pics you post do neither justice you must go see them

gotta admit this looks nice....must see in person and people who have not probably should to appreciate it,...

for size reference and why I love the YMII

I understand it's a must see in person, I've seen a few DJ's with diamonds.
But, I'm just not feeling it.

But hey, up to everyone! Few people likes Root Beers and I love them!

Why not - diamonds look great and it's all jewellery after all

95% of my watches are without diamonds but this one isn't one of them but I love this diamond dial. I agree with Tom on his sentiments of the diamond dial.

I say yes, really makes the watch pop. I love it with the 8 diamonds, and you cant fault the quality of the diamonds, some people say they are not good quality, this is certainly not the case.

I debated the exact same question when I bought my WG sub. I ended up skipping the diamond dial and I have no regrets. I prefer the cleaner look of the regular dial.

No way! Diamonds on a sports watch are just wrong in my opinion. BTW Rolex has recently discontinued the diamond dial on Submariners.

I prefer diamonds on my ring, but that is a great shot!

If YOU like the diamonds that's all that matters! I like diamonds on Rolex dials but only if original (no aftermarket).

So to the OP original question.....you and your friend are both correct to yourselves but also wrong to one another.
