Thanks for posting. It's comforting to know that when I get mine, I'll be able to flip it for double for sure because buyers like you exist.

Congratulations! I would also be prepared to pay a premium for this watch as one of the ADs in Australia told me that there is a 5-year waiting list for this watch already!
I don’t think it is the grey market dealers’ fault, the problem is Rolex cannot keep up with the demand!

OP, congratulations on a beautiful watch. Wear it in best of health. Whatever deal you and David made, good for both of you. If I had the cash I might have done it too, and unapologetically. Your money, your watch. Enjoy!

Congrats on the watch!
That’s correct. I’m sure DavidSW paid well over MSRP to source the watch so he is not making the entire spread between MSRP and the sales price.

I had such disparaging experience recently with AD. I'll even call them out. Tourneau in VA, Edward Arthur in MD, Govberg(who now is more of an enterprise than your friendly watch store - watch out what you say or you will be blackballed - pun intended), Meierotto in MO, and on and on. I've bought watches from all of them. Sold some back too. Their level of greed is unspoken and to be read between the lines. It's no different than our friendly grey dealers on here except their demands are up front vs the AD in no uncertain terms are asking that you buy PM or low volume like TT watches in order to be in their inner circle.

I get the pay to play phenomenon since I just did it, but I would rather pay my taxes up front, when I want to, and for what I want to on, rather than play the mind games that AD like to proffer.

I love this attitude, be sure to visit all those ADs with the pepsi on the wrist!

congrats... nothing wrong with buying at market prices. You admitted it, and didn't pretend you didn't, which a lot do. Respect for that.

Congrats on acquiring this beauty. Love your honesty.

This makes me feel glad I went along with my AD who had quoted me $15.5k. Seems like a great deal considering the market now.

Now get on with taking some more pictures!!

Congratulations mate. This is one of the best watches out there in my opinion - perhaps the best. I don't blame you one bit for choosing the easy and direct DavidSW way of purchasing over the ludicrous AD palaver and bent dealings you describe above. Some members on here think all that is "normal business practice" but more fool them. Enjoy it whether you wear it or flip it: your choice in a free world.

Your money who cares what anyone or anyone on TRF thinks.

I have no problem with grey because all about supply and demand. Essentially you pay for convenience, time, and effort

Btw .... awesome watch
Congrats
