The Sub by a mile. While I do like the aesthetics of the YM. I couldn’t get the right fit for some reason. Very strange. Always too tight or too loose.

With the Sub’s GL clasp, you can get the fit really close to perfection. Trust me, the GL is god send.

Agree there. GL is genius.

But otherwise I’m YM. All day.

There's a new thread somewhere that entire YM lineup has gotten the 3235 movement and has a new reference 126622!

I have both. If I had to choose one, I would choose the YM because it's more sleek and fits better than the SubC due to the smaller lugs. You rarely see YM's in the wild, while the SubC is very ubiquitous.

And the bezel being a scratch magnet is a myth. Mine is still minty fresh. The PCL's, on the other hand, is a scratch magnet.

I like the YM. Specifically the rhodium dial version.
Sub is great and all - but is super common and you can find similar looking watches with other brands. The YM has a very distinct look. Which is also its downside - is it a casual watch or a more formal one? Not sure what id wear with it. Not as versatile as sub.

So i suppose for everyday Sub, for 'going out' YM

If you go with the YM, make sure you get a blue dial. IMHO, it is the winner in the YM line.

Watches are like coffee... Your tastes are your tastes. Doesn't matter how many people love their coffee black; if you like iced vanilla lattes then order it.

If you can find a decent blue pre-owned yachtmaster with a unmarked bezel then I would vote that over a black sub by a long way.

Be a Leader and do you! Try both and see what suits you best!

I tried on the Subs and knew immediately I didn't like them for me. I tried on the Yachtmaster and said dammit, I can't leave here (local AD) without it!! Especially because they had my dream colors EVEROSE and Chocolate dial is a match made in heaven for my taste. Get what you like best and don't listen to what others like because its your money and you get to enjoy what you love. Forget resale value and scarcity unless your buying to flip or want to trade or upgrade later. Me personally would love great resale which most Rolex's have, but I have never sold something I bought in my life except a car to dealer once. Here is a pick of my new pride and joy! Forza Palermo! 🇮🇹

YM everyday for me. Be it the blue dial or the rhodium they are both astonishing, fits better , classier , and more rare than the sub

The YM wears so much better than a modern sub for me. Much sleeker and something different. Only modern sub I'd pick over a modern YM is the LVC....that dial is just too good.

I've got both, and you can't lose either way.

Sub is the iconic sub, but the YM has a nicer, sleeker case and wears a little better. If I were you I'd just buy the one you like the look of better. I prefer the rhodium dial amongst the SS options.
