The Hulk is too green and doesn't interest me, despite the hype.

I love the Kermit and would be interested in buying a modern, ceramic version of it.

This makes sense to me in a perfect world where ADs are stocked. But while the "flip the LN" part is pretty easy, the "get the LV" part is the challenge (if $ is a consideration, which it is). Because this becomes potentially costly if I cannot acquire the hulk at MSRP so buy at a premium, then realize I actually do prefer the sub C, then take a hit going back to where I started.

Go for it

Get the Hulk! It gets 95% of the time of my wrist rotation over 2 daytona's and a Rootbeer. Hard to take it off

You have said that you love the LN and are unsure about the LV. Put your name on a couple lists for the LV and wait. It’s not like you’re in a rush. Do not pay more than MSRP for the LV. It’s been massed produced for almost 10 years. It’s is is not rare enough to pay more than that.

Well ... this thread gets on dynamics ! ... enjoying it ... moreover when green gets on support ... Green makes you calm but Hulk makes you go off the line as well ... a bit on verge of cliff ... being grown ... being to glossy ... being not traditional / but niche ... it is Rolex we talk about eventually ... with 904L steel ... glidelock ... blue lume ... Mercedes hand ... in corporate brand color ... Viva la Hulk

i got my sub green last week and was not too thrilled about it. the AD wanted to treat me nice so i took the watch home. meanwhile i got to like it, mainly because it is not 'in your face' when seen from a distance but it still invites curiosity since it is clearly not a classical black sub. i see people look at my wrist with a somewhat puzzled face...makes me smile.

I guess to explain myself a bit better, yes this would not be my first choice, and yes I'm not really a green guy. But on the first point I would still keep the black sub c or the SDK 4000 (so first choice covered anyway), and on the second I've seen soooo many comments on here like "you have to own one to understand" and "I hated the green then I tried it and bought it immediately" etc.

But maybe you're right, no point in forcing this

100% don’t force it. I remember seeing them in AD windows as recent as 3 years ago. I wasn’t keen. Fast forward a couple of years and my AD manager has one on. It looks great on him, so I try it on, looks ok. Fast forward another 6 months and I try it on again, I’m still not 100%. Anyway, he ends up offering me one and I accept. After owning it for nearly a year, now, I have zero regrets. My advice to you is, try it on and see how you feel. I know they’re hard to get, but try a grey dealer, just to try it on. If you hate it, then you know the answer.

Hulk all day! Absolutely love mine and it was my first Rolex. Tried sell it last year for £7000 and purchased it at £6050. All I had was ridiculous offers for £5000 etc, so glad I didn't sell it because I've fallen more in love with it! The green is just amazing and I can't get enough of it when the sun shines over the dial!

I got tired of it pretty fast. I don’t think green is for me. I need to stick with black, blue, grey watches.

It is a fun watch but I wear my LN and LB Subs way more often. For me it works great for casual wear on the weekends. I like Subs so having multiple colors is enjoyable. I do remember when it was launched and they sat in AD cases. It was not a good seller until the last 2 years or so.

I absolutely love it. Imo it does not jump out at you and scream green under normal indoor lighting, but it’s a subtle difference that still makes it a bit unique. Then, once out in the sunlight, it definitely screams green which you’ll either love or hate. I love it because it’s unique. I also love the Bluesy for the same reasons but prefer the Hulk for all stainless steel.

Way too green and just plain ugly. They should discontinue it immediately and offer to buy back any watches that have already been sold.

I will however still keep mine.

I Love my Green Machine LV. What I really don't care for is the Pocket Watch on a Bracelet SD Boat Anchor. What a Monster !

It’s not too green unless in direct sunlight.
And that actually makes it stunning!
Believe it or not, it goes with just about everything.
I have owned mine for many years and it’s a keeper.
It’s not hype. It’s hypnotic!

Most of the people if not all that have the LVc will tell you that this is a great watch, the green sunburst dial is so amazing ( I would say mesmerizing) and you can wear it anywhere, with anything at anytime. The ones that never had one in their hands might tell you otherwise.
If you can get the watch you will love it.
BUT either add the watch or get rid of the black Sub C instead of the SD4k.

Love mine but am in real danger of loosing it to my wife. It's the only watch in my collection that is not "boring" in her opinion.

I am exactly in the same situation , love my Sub C(no date) and when I got a call for the Hulk about 2 months ago and saw the beauty of that green specially under the sun in a clear day.

Hulk - amazingly unique or too niche?

Hulk is a far second to WG Daytona but it still gets wrist time and it’s an awesome piece.

It's a cool watch, and the dial is stunning. Always thought the Bezel looked a bit off though. It seemed to almost look more plastic than ceramic when I tried it on.

It’s a watch to have as part of a collection/rotation.

Nice looker, a great green for sure but not on my wrist. Im sure if I had one it would be another 'also ran' and be sitting in the watch box after the honeymoon.

I've enjoyed my Hulk and get tons of complements more than any other watch Ive ever owned. However, I am contemplating going back to a 41mm Date Just 2 tone which is why I'm back on the forum.

Don't buy things if you do not like them. Over the years this will save you lots of money. Also do not trust the opinions of strangers when making those decisions. They don't have to see it daily or explain to others why

The popularity of the Hulk is decreasing by the day.

It was the flippers and hypebeats that make this model hyped. Everyone knows you couldnt move the things for years when they came out. Nothing has changed since then except hype.

Now its dying down especially these uncertain times. Its crazy just looking at the stock market.

I was going to say just that.
I would however sell the sub and get a non diver reference.
