You do NOT need to match the ring to anything.
Not everything needs to be matchy matchy. |

As has been said earlier, just get your ring rhodium plated.
Easy fix. |

I have a platinum wedding band which play well with all my stainless steel watches. It’s an expensive solution, but I really dig it!

Congrats. I think it looks good on you. I have a platinum ring and a yellow gold day date (so basically the opposite of your metals) and think it looks good

Sometimes I wear my YG Sub with a WG star sapphire ring. I don't care what anyone but myself thinks and I have no issue with it. I don't wear a wedding ring as I lost mine about 40 years ago.

Picked up a stainless steel beater wedding band on amazon to go with my ss watches when I’m not wearing the yg band. Think it cost 9 dollars.

I have a rose gold wedding band. I wear it with SS & Ti watches. No one's ever said anything to me about it, or given me side-eye for it. Seriously, there's no need to match your ring to your watch. Just wear what you like.

Consensus is that it's ok to mix and match metals. Just look at Rolex and every other watch brand doing so across their collections.
I wear a YG ring. Always knew that was the only metal for my wedding ring. I wear it with a RG Reverso, a vintage SS Rolex, a SS Seiko 5, and a RGM TZBD-350 on strap. Looks fine across the board. Previous generations wore YG rings almost exclusively and thus mixed and matched with watches in various metals. |

Good reason to justify a gold Rolex ...

I say wear both with great pride. They both look great on you and I love wearing both yellow and white, silver, and SS all together.

Beautiful watch dude. Congrats on the wedding. I wouldn't worry about the SS watch and yellow gold ring especially since it's from your dad - super cool. I'd look at matching my watch to a new Rolex for my wife if she's (hopefully) into watches. I'm glad they had the pink/purple BLRO when I bought my BLNR because it would have been a really difficult choice now that they've fixed the bezel colors (no offense to the Mk 1 devotees). I hope you and your bride have a wonderful life together. Cheers.

The combination looks fine to me. I appreciate the sentimental value of you Dad's wedding ring. If you find the combination too bothersome, just send the Pepsi my way; I'll be happy to take away your discomfort.

Congrats on the wedding!
IMHO the combo is great as is. I've said in another thread, and will always stand by this, a wedding band is exempt from ever having to match any other piece of jewelry or your outfit. I have my late father's gold wedding band. If I were to wear it, it wouldn't matter to me what other jewelry or accessories I'm wearing. I'd be wearing it for personal reasons, not for fashion. Virtually everything I have is white metal. But the wedding band, especially since it's an heirloom, is in a category by itself. It transcends being regarded merely as a piece of jewelry, and fashion rules don't apply. |

I have a YG and WG wedding ring for this very reason, and I alternate accordingly

There have been experiments where a guy will wear one tan loafer and one black balmoral to work, and no one notices or cares. No one will notice or care if your wedding ring and watch match. Seriously. Just wear what you like and don't worry about others' opinions. If someone told me my SS Daytona and rose gold wedding band didn't go together, I'd be so shocked I'd be at a loss for words, but then I'd come to my senses and pick a new friend or client to replace him or her.

The picture isn't an accurate representation of what you or others will see. Lighting and angles are funny. Sometimes yellow gold looks white, Sometimes steel and white gold look yellow. Polished metals look very different depending on the lighting. When you check the time, you wont have all five fingers spread out.
I get the OCD, I think about what color belt I'm wearing even when my shirt is not tucked in. If it's for your OCD, then go ahead and dip the ring or get a spare. You could also tattoo your wedding ring on and throw that ring on your right hand. If you are worried about what others think, you can relax. Nobody cares and if they did care they might think that they've been doing it wrong. If it annoys you, then make the change. You have to love the metal you wear. |

I lost my white-gold wedding ring last month and on this valentine day I just bought a new Cartier Trinity wedding band :)
First day it really look a bit weird, also the SA at Cartier recommend me the Love ring in white gold said it would match with the watch. In the end, I chose this trinity band instead and just love it BTW Trinity ring, 3 gold colours to match any watch you would wear LOL |

On the other hand though, how did your wife take the story of the ring getting lost? That might have been an episode. |

Ever considered wearing your watch on your right wrist?
I’ve done that all my life. Today I’m wearing a yellow gold Daytona and the white gold wedding ring does seem a bit mismatched if I move the watch to my left wrist but loads of people do it. It’s not a problem but if it bothers you, wear on the right. Works for me. |

My watch has nothing to do with my ring. My wife gave it to me, it's more special than the watch. Whatever color it is, that's what it is. My phone isn't the same color, nor my car, nor my belt and so on and so on.
Or since you're asking strangers for advice, give your dad back his ring and say no thanks, I need one that matches my watch dad. Or sell the watch and get all gold ones. Giving the ring back is easier and cheaper though. Time to make a decision......or forget about these silly michy machy issues and appreciate you have your health a nice watch and priceless gift from dad. |

Yes, same here. Mine is narrower though, the watch will opaque it. no problem.
