No dates going to be around forever. It’s literally the icon, the date sub came after the submariner. I could see hulk gone forever, ceramic Kermit would be a hot option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I know one thing. As a private non-shareholder company they could give a rat's arse what you think. Nor anyone else. You must be a newbie to the Rolex world.

This. Slimmer lugs to get rid of the soapbar form factor should come as a priority for any product designer paying even a remote attention to feedbacks.

Hahahaha. They don’t give a shit about “polarized” opinions in the WIS world. They care about the Brand and nothing more. And trust me, the maxi case Sub has not hurt the Brand an iota. And to say the maxi case Sub is a problem that needs to be addressed is laughable. Some people prefer the five digit Sub. And some people prefer the six digit Sub. That’s not a problem. What would be a problem is Subs sitting in AD cases. Or going for less than MSRP. That’s not the world we’re living in. If they did nothing at all but add a red line of text (no changes at all to movement or case), you wouldn’t be able to buy one at an AD for five years. |

Which part? The sub leaving the lineup? I think given the submariners history since around 54 that it’s safe. There really isn’t a reason to get rid of it ever. It’s the same case, bracelet, hands, and movement as the date sub. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

zero second thoughts. Getting rid of the sub is like getting rid of the datejust. It would be the dumbest move ever. The sub date is not the sub. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I wouldn't be shocked if they dropped the Sub (ND) from the range. From a rationalization point of view, I expect that most non-WIS buyers (i.e. the majority) want the Sub Date. I don't usually like cross-product analogies, but I'm thinking of how Porsche recently switched to only making wide-body 911s. No doubt both companies could carry on with both options indefinitely, but I understand the benefits of streamlining. I'm also mindful that Rolex has brought back discontinued models (Milgauss, SD) so if something is deleted from the catalog it doesn't mean it's gone forever, even if it is substantially redesigned.
