I recently got an allocation for a Pepsi and my AD told me similar things - Rolex is slowing down Pepsi production due to bezel / color issues. Sounds like this might actually be accurate.

rolex should stop pepsi production altogether, I heard lots of pepsi coming back to RSC for servicing because of cracked bezel!

If this cracked ceramic insert is so common that it is causing Rolex to stop production of a watch I would expect anecdotal reports on TRF on at least the occasion. Therefore, it makes this claim harder to believe.

If cracked ceramic bezels are so common on the BLRO how do you explain we never have TRF members experience it?

Seems to be, and seems related to the difficulty of producing a bicolor bezel in red and blue. That difficulty is apparently absent when one of the colors is black, as it is on every other ceramic GMT combination (BLNR, CHNR, VTNR, GRNR, LN).

I purchased a pre owned Pepsi BLRO ceramic with a hairline crack thru the bezel of the 14. Had to loupe it to see. The dealer I bought it from called it a scratch. A new bezel is like $300. It happens. It's not a big deal.

BLRO was introduced in 2018 I believe. It's about 5-6 years in production now.
The ceramic Daytona was introduced in 2016 and discontinued this year, making it a 7-8 year production run.

If it gets discontinued, it should not be a surprise. That being said, every year there have been rumours about BLRO being discontinued, whether its due to difficulty in blending the blue and red colour for the bezel, fragile bezel or new colour combination thus phasing out the BLRO, the watch is still on the Rolex website, still in the 2023 catalogue and customers are still getting called to collect their BLROs....

If people keep repeating the same garbage statement about BLRO being discontinued year after year, eventually they will get it right...... after X amount of years of getting it wrong. It was the same with the Milgauss, same with the Platinum and JM Daytona....

I have been said that i am in the list in 2023, but due to production issues i cant be served yet..it would be the biggest disappointment if i cant get my pepsi and it will be discontinued

Honestly, all you can do is wait. I'm hoping you get the call.
However, please don't be affected by the discontinuation rumours. Every single year some random idiot (could be a grey dealer masquerading on here) spreading unsubstantiated rumours that X and Y Rolex is getting discontinued.
All these fear mongering to get people to buy pre-owned Rolex at 2-3x prices.

Since 1954 with the release of 6542, there has always been a new iteration of the BLRO GMT. Even if you can't get the 126710BLRO, there will always be a new GMT down the road....

a Pepsi GMT reference will perpetually continue to exist- its a 'core' reference imo. Like the LN Sub; a BLRO GMT will exist in the lineup. Yes, it went away early in the Ceramic era but that was due to issues creating a consistent Red+Blue bezel. Now that they've somewhat gotten the hang of it, imo it will remain. BLNR on the other hand...

I've heard rumor of this, but I was also told there are a very limited number of Rolex employees that have the knowledge and know how to produce these two tone bezels.

Pepsi bezel may well be more fragile, is probably why they give the bezel a thicker steel rim compared to the BLNR/LN.
