I havent read through all three pages of post, but bro with your ink it works great! Otherwise I personally wouldnt be a fan and would wear on my right hand given the sentiment of the ring. All the colors work well so rock that bad boy.

I'm curious what Adrejb ultimately decided. I'm with the crowd that says that the combo works well. I realize this is an older thread. People have traditionally worn gold wedding bands. I suspect very few have ever worried about whether or not their watch had to match considering stainless is much more common for timepieces.

Yellow gold is by far the most traditional material for a wedding band, my wife insisted on a yellow gold ring, and I actually quite like the ring. I wear a gold band, a gold chain, and a SS Daytona. I think it’s great, and frankly don’t care that much about mixing metals bc the ring and chain never come off. We take the same approach on decorating our home, beautiful, high quality items tend to compliment each other and fits our eclectic style. Don’t overthink these things, just enjoy!

I think it looks alright. I think it would look better if they were the same color. Can you have a few different wedding bands or is that against some sort of rule? I think the ink actually makes the contrast between the ring and the watch a little less noticeable.

Owning 2 different color wedding rings to match the watches you own seems a little vain to me.

congratulations to all the newly weds in this thread...i think the two tone look of the gold bands and steel watches is just fine. I prefer uniformity but i see no issue with the mixing of the metals and I think there are probably millions of men with the two tone combination.

SS Sub and 18k YG band here. Never given it much though either. It’s the tattoos that don’t go if you ask me OP.

Let’s not be little princesses about it. I don’t see why they need to match and I think if anything the yellow gold makes a nice contrast with the stainless steel watch.

As I am from the UK where it is a quite modern idea for a man to wear a wedding ring, it is still a matter of personal preference here. I would have been the first man in my family to wear one but I don’t like wearing jewellery other than a watch so don’t own a wedding ring. My wife was pleased as the ring budget was spent entirely on her. She is not stupid enough to believe that a wedding ring prevents philandering and knows that being trustworthy is part of a person’s moral fibre and does not come from trinkets.

Thanks for ending the suspense; it's been keeping me awake at nights.

Seriously, none will notice the mismatch. The ring is a symbol and not a fashion accessory!!! Great choice!!!!

I keep the gold ring in my night stand now and wear a $25 silicone ring. Super comfortable, matches my sub, doesn’t scratch any of the various other metal things I handle every day.

Good move. I also would have recommended to dip your current ring in white gold. I do understand it came from your father and it might be an insult to alter it, but that would totally be up to you.

I have WG ring myself, and it would never bother me if my watch was another color

I think the ink helps blend the contrast. Wear both together with affection.
