Who wears an Exp. II with a suit?

So right now my job doesn't require that I wear a suit (once per month at most, for a meeting). That is obviously subject to change and I'm curious whether my Explorer II (which has recently been getting most of my wrist time) will look out of place. Anyone here regularly wear this watch when dressing up? Is this more 36mm DJ/Exp I territory, or do you find you pull off the 40mm Exp. II well in this capacity?

It just depends on the color of the suit/shirt.
Some people think that only leather strap is suitable for more formal wear but I'm more relaxed on that. Daytona, one of my love, maybe get worn with suit as much by me..

I regularly wear my EXPII with a suit and/or clerics (black shirt/white collar). I even wear it celebrating Mass.

The Explorer II is quite versatile, especially in black.

IMO it will look great!

An exp II goes well with casual or formal wear.

I have lots of watches but only one suit

So I am probably biased on this. I don't currently have an Exp ll but if I did I would not hesitate to wear it with a suit.

Wearing a suit isn't really "dressing up"..... It's still pretty much basic business attire...

The Exp II looks a lot better than many of the other wrist ornaments people wear today..........

Among the casual/sports/tool Rolex, the Explorer II has a slimmer profile as well as simpler more elegant design. IMO it is more suit friendly than say a Sub/Daytona/GMT/SeaDweller. It is OK with a suit, as say for work/business, but not for full formal occasions.

I don't have an Exp II, but I would wear one with a suit. I wear my SS Sub Date with a suit all the time.

I wear my watches, with a suit ...

... or without:

In my mind it is more about composition, colours and proportions rather than "dressing up" or "down" these days.

Best,

I think it works better than most sports Rolex as its low profile slips neatly under shirt cuff - wear mine all the time.

As a woman, I think the Explorer 2 would look great with a suit. I don't really believe in rules when it comes to Rolex. Wear it and enjoy it!

For me, it depends on the suit. I wear my black dial Explorer II only with gray suits. I wear a tt Datejust with all other colors.

I don't think it makes any difference. A Rolex goes well with anything.
