Where can i get a Pepsi insert?
Does anyone know how or where i can get a Genuine pepsi bezel insert for my GMT2.
I live in Raleigh NC and have tried my local dealer, who contacted Rolex. They said that as my watch was supplied with a Red/Black bezel they would only be able to replace it with the same. Any ideas? |

ADs in the us are like that. I got an earful just broaching the question. I started a thread on this a week or so ago.
Think DavidSW may have some. I decided to stay "Coke" for a while on my new to me GMT ll |

I was able to get my GMT II bezel swapped from Coke to Pepsi (and keep the original Coke one) at RSC Beverly Hills, when they were still around. I brought in the watch and simply asked them, no issues at all. In fact, they even offered to sell me the all black one.

It is a real shame you can't purchase an insert or bracelet of your choice for your GMT from an AD in the US. I understand the counterfeiting issue and I can see having to prove you own a GMT via the serial number. Just seems a lousy way to treat customers.
You literally have to travel to Europe for that kind of customer service. dP

I think every AD is different in the USA keep trying.
*The key is to find an AD with a watchmaker on site. * They can order anything available from Rolex. They will not sell you parts like dials etc.If you bring them a watch with say a *part*They can order it for your watch. They may or may not ask for the old parts if you want them plead your case. And guys for the 1000's time bezel inserts are $50.00-$75.00 new from an AD installed. If you dont have 1 near you find an independent watchmaker with a Rolex parts account. If you want your old one and are scared they will keep it pop a $10.00 repo in there and take it to them like that.

Just a warning...if you plan to sell the watch with Papers...The later GMT II watches like mine are coded A for Black & Red, B for Blue & Red and N for Noir (Black) bezels...
Ticky tack, but if you sell to an anal buyer like me just make sure to provide your original bezel insert - unless he /she does not care! I learned the forgoing on TRF from ZSub and others. |

Even in Paris this is the new policy of Rolex ADs. I do not agree with it and am going to buy an aftermarket bezel. i do not think that frustrating the customers is the solution of the counterfeiting issue ...
Any suggestions of aftermarket please ? Thanks |
