My new "Bond" NATO strap

A couple of month ago one of our members posted a link to the Corvus Watch Company website which sells the "Real Bond NATO Watchstrap". The owners of this company have done their homework and have produced a strap that is identical in appearance to the one worn by Sean Connery in the movies "Goldfinger" and Thunderball". Another member posted a lukewarm review of his "Bond" strap, citing the fact that the strap seemed thin and prone to fraying. I read this post shortly after making my order to Corvus. I immediately cancelled my order and received a prompt response from Thomas, one of the owners of Corvus. He said that he would gladly refund my money and also informed me that they would be resupplied with a thicker material stock for their straps. They initially went with a bit thinner, softer material for comfort's sake. I reconsidered my cancellation and told Thomas I would wait for the thicker strap. Thomas generously sent me the thinner strap to tide me over while I waited for the other. The thinner strap was indeed very supple and comfortable. The slight fraying I experienced was easily taken care of with a lit match. The colors of the strap are vivid and gorgeous and very much identical to the one Connery wore in the movies.

I received my thicker "Bond" strap today. It is thicker, stiffer and definately more robust than the original. The colors are just as beautiful as the original and my sense is that it will give me longer, wearable service.
