Why can't I find this Rolex???
I have searched all of our ADs here locally and this Rolex DJII seems a ghost.
Has anyone else found this exact timepiece? If so, what were your impressions? Also, I would be interested in a price, if you went that far.

I am a fan of the new DJ II's but that particular model with the single baton @ 9 o'clock just looks off to me. Why did they bother putting one baton on that particular model??????? It makes no sense to me.

The baton is likely there to balance the date window.

You know, I tried one at my AD a while ago... it wasn't that gold one is was the silver-faced. They are stunningly beautiful watches so please no one jump all over me, but I had waited for ever to see one and when it was on my wrist.... it just didn't sing to me. Maybe it was the model I had, this green/gold combo sure looks nice and I hope to try one of these on soon, but the DJ II in general didn't live up to the hype. Maybe I'm wrong... there is a first time for everything...

That's the very same watch which I went to see at my AD's a few weeks ago before getting my TT GMT-IIC.
I liked it very much, but then my AD went and placed the TT GMT-IIC next to it and all hell broke loose!! The TT GMT-IIC blew all other competition into oblivion. The rest, as they say, is history. JJ

I saw that one in Cancun this summer. The first and only DJII I've ever seen. Not my cup of tea either.

I'm waiting on the DJII until there's a jubilee model. They are very nice watches though.

Went to my AD yesterday to test drive a DJII. They had six Daytonas on display and more in the safe and not one Datejust II! Dying to try one on myself.Looking for a SS/YG White Face, Fluted, Baton markers. My NEW Dream watch.
Think I would like it sporting a Jubilee, any word on if and when? |

My AD has it or will have it to you in a couple days if you want it.
He has helped out a couple other members here on the forum get them. I tried on that model, did not care for the 9 oclock marker but understand they did it to balance the date window. I only wear it once a week or so but I am very happy with my DJ II (same with my GV) I am just too rough to wear anything with PCL daily

Hi Richard
Although there is a lot of demand I can get this particular dial DJ-II, the trouble is the low dollar exchange at this moment and worst, I do not see the dollar recovering any time soon. Anyway I can only supply at $7,800 (MSRP $9,525) ideally you should pay $7,150 and no tax ...but VERY difficult at the moment |

man, wish it was "that" easy in the UK, especially in London.
apart from mine, which was already allocated for me, there were none to be found. the next closest delivery for this piece is Jan 2010 - for the Rolex boutique on old bond street (which is owned by Watches of Switzerland). i did consider the change of dial route (just in case there is a delay on my allocation), and was going to get a TT with a different dial from a grey dealer for a very good price, but then the idea got thrown out of the window when St James RSC told us that the replacement dial (spare parts) wont be available until at least Jan 2010..... so i suspect that Rolex boutique was going to change the dial on one of their TT pieces.... |

When I asked this same question of my AD, she said it was there to counteract and add symmetery to the DATE diametrically opposite!!
