I'm thinking about a Tourbillon.
Well. I'm thinking that Toywatch certainly have big balls putting a Tourbillon movement inside a plastic case and selling the thing for almost £3500 !!
It's not a photoshop jobbie, it's real. Enjoy

Only thing worse than a fake rolex is fake rolex that has a tourbillon and costs more than a real omega or breitling!

Whilst I do not like this one some of the Chinese Tourbillions are exceptional and worth the money.
There are a number of folks on other forums who are reporting great pleasure in their purchase and the reliability of the movement and quality of the case. Of course they are several thousands but when you think of the technology and skill need to make one they are bargins, especially comapring to what the Swiss charge. This one though is hideous and is unfortunate as it does not do the name of chinese turbillons any good. Check these out from the US distributor of seagull watches, a long established Chinese manufacturer with an excellent reputation, you can't lose really as there is a lifetime warrenty from the manufacturer on the movement, that says a lot from well established company. I think they are worth 4 grand of anyones money! http://www.usseagull.com/tourbillon.htm |

Tourbillon
Hi. Before buying a TOURBILLON of Far East origin it will pay you to view a couple of crackers on the British Horological Institute web site. They are reasonably priced and look good. Both have the BHI Armorial Bearings on the dial. The first BHI-150 celebrated the 150th year of the BHI. It has a 36 hour reserve. The second BHI-151 looks similar but has an up-down (power reserve) indicator and a 48 hour reserve. The first is around £390.00 and the second is £450.00 Both are cheaper if you are a member. I have both. You can find them well illustrated and on www.bhi.co.uk What do you think of them? Regards, Tylden.

I have a couple of chinese watches, an Alpha GMT from alpha usa which is supurbe and keeps +3 seconds a day, also a Timex with retrograde date and power reserve, that one uses a seagull movement which is wonderfully finished. Just ordered yesterday another alpha usa, this time the daytona with manual wind movement. I think they are wonderful watches! |
