Need help in dating my Rolex
I am trying to determine approximately when I actually purchased my GMT Master. The "numbers" I have found in the case are:
Ser # 3113537 Model # 1675 Movit # D943495 Cal 1556 The only time frame I seem to have is somewhere between 1974 and 1978 and I purchased it new. Any help or advice is appreciated. |

It should be made between 1970-1971 form the serial number list.. but is just an approximate number...
It could have been sitting for a while at the AD...and then you bought it from 1974-1978... Hard you know when you purchased the watch.. the serial only shows when the case was stamped...not sold...

That serial is from 1970/1 but still possible you bought 1974 and the movement would have been cal 1575 the cal 1556 is a early daydate

I was going to say "buy it drinks," but then I read the actual thread!
Sorry, Joe, I know you haven't posted much, but I couldn't resist!

You beat me to that one, David. I know many on here sleep with their watches, but is it necessary to date them first?
