Deal or no deal...

I've got the option of buying a Sub with date N-Series for $3250 from a reputable seller. What do you guys think? N-Series is a little older then I expected. Plus I gotta pay about 10% GST to import it. Its a bit of a budget stretch... but its a date model. No papers but Rolex box.

When was is serviced? Factor in about 500 - 700 USD for service if this hasn't been performed. This is the exact same price I paid for my U serial and then I had to get is serviced when it got some moisture under the crystal. I had it declared for less so the VAT was less. Keep shopping, they can be had for less.

I'll pass. Not because its a unreasonable price, its is a fair deal. I still am sticking to my $3000 budget and prefer a no-date.

Well, you asked the question and you got an answer. This still applies to NDs as well and any watch for that matter. Service counts a lot.

yep, service history is important for older serials. i'd pass. i'm assuming this was a sub date, yes? anyway, i'm certain there have been better deals on subs in the last few months on these forums. keep looking. also, prices tend to increase around this time of year.

Exactly , at that budget you look at 25% of its value if the watch hasn't been serviced recently . What may seem a good deal today ....

def factor in the service $$$ and incorporate that into your budget/price willing to pay.
